Wow destroid, I love the Macross Zero Tomcat! Looks great. Subtle pre-shading and good panel lines afterwards.

Petar I can get that artwork for you, no problem!
My fee US$1000 pay upfront or 8 payments of $200 payments. Know I am no responsible for not item as described. No refund but I give you feedback! Many applications to me. Please hurry your money!
I must agree with you mate. I like it too. Is it a Kawamori?

This is Not a Toy, This is a Serious Collectible Model!
I love this guy! Macross. Serious. Business.

There's another scale?
One scale to rule them all

What a great time to be building 1/72 Macross! To think, in five years, the subjects created by ahiachris, valk009, and moscato will be no doubt be very hard to find!
-
Wow! That's impressive work. My compliments on your skill and patience!

Chris is the camo scheme decals or did you mask that??

I'm cool with Sydney, for either 2010 or 2011. Also very happy with GC! I don't mean to rock any boats...
-
:cheering:
Looking forward to it already.

Very cool. Subscribed!

Whatever it is, it'll still be 1/100. I'm thinking about the old Arii Defender and the Macross Factory. It's a cool kit and will also be a nice display backdrop for my other kits already completed.
And yeah, I'll leave it until the last minute and have a freak out in February or something...!
More importantly, how is Steve going to top the EMU??? I'm hoping both Steve and Petar can make the con, and hopefully bring some more of their completed work next year.

...everyone should feel encouraged to submit a model
Actually Matt, I'm going to have to pull you up there dude. I was going to propose we have a pre-entry judging panel, consisting of just me, to make sure all models better than mine are unable to enter any comps.
And Smegalot, unfortunately your 1/100 VF-0S will probably have you disqualified because it looks quite good...
Sorry chaps!

Aoshima will be releasing Graug fuzzy dice last quarter of 09. Nice forthought for the modders with the cockpit! - MT

Heya Steve, thanks for the welcome back. I'm really excited to hear more about the comps you have in mind. As long as I don't have to explain why there's UN SPACY on the side of a Glaug, I'm in!
Matt I'd love to be on the board again, thanks very much for the invitation. Sucks to hear about work dude, however big congrats on the baby! If this is number one, you won't know what hit you A baby was a great cure for that nasty spare time, spare money problem I had a few years ago hehe... Seriously though, bubs are awesome. It's a happiness you can't find anywhere else.

I'll e-mail ya mate, i know you been busy hehheh
lol, yep. 3 week old baby + law exam tomorrow morning = busy alright! So, why am I on MW then!? hehe
Gotta run

Very nice Ruben! Your colours and masking is great and your weathering is spot on, I feel.
Was it a pleasant build? The missiles and hinges appear a little tedious! That was quite a clever solution to create the missiles.

Just found the thread! Nice work Matt, getting started on 2010 already. Another vote for GC here. Sydney->Gold Coast airfares are often substantially cheaper than Sydney->Brisbane too.
When things get a little closer, I'd like to talk more about the modelling comps and categories. Having been to a few modelling expos, I must agree with MilSpex regarding the "Please do not touch" signs or a simple rope barrier. Signs should be enough - we're not expecting any 10year old kids are we? (serious question!).
I might be able to paint up a 1/100 Macross Factory and hopefully pip Petar and Steve in the comps next year! (have to keep that dream alive ) Perhaps we need a "1/100 Scale Only" category
And it sounds like I need to go buy a PSP and find out why you guys are so keen on MAF

Steve you should post the pics in the modelling area and see how long it takes someone to spot the EMU
-
I'll echo the thanks to Matt and all the guys behind the scenes.
And, I now have my first Macross toy... I feel so cold and dirty...
Revoltechs are quite cool. I started building the kit around 9.30 this morning. I think I finished around 9.33. Fastest build I've ever done

Let the speculation begin...
I wonder what the 'pleasant surprise' might be that he's thinking about?

edit: thought I'd better post a so it's clear it's tongue in cheek

Did this happen already or happening now.... maybe.
home now. tired. but macross on a cinema screen... was AWESOME

The first Destroid is ready for some paint action.
Thinking of building the second one with hatches opened. That would look nice in a hanger.
I saw your pics and thought, looking good. Then I remembered it was a 1/200 Nichimo... you're lookin' GREAT! Nice work TSP.

Borat style: "NIIIIIIICE!"
I'm in a similar situation. Doesn't help that this has been the busiest week of work this year....!
If you're entering your Commanchero on Saturday, and someone swaps it out and changes your entry to a GI Joe helicopter with "un spacy" written in black marker down the side, it wasn't me, ok?
I saw your recent pics in your thread Petar - wow. Looking VERY good. I hope there's room for a few more PetarB kits to come visit Brisbane. I'd love to see your VF-4.

Samuel can/will rescale decals for you. You just have to let him know the size. He rescaled to 1/100 on a few sets for me earlier this year.
Good guy, good price.
