  1. Hey guys,

This is bit of a weird request, but this forum is where I know I can trust people, and I'm looking for someone to pick up a few Steam titles on my behalf. I'm in Australia, and our Steam store charges anything up to four or more times the US RRP of software (try http://www.steamprices.com/au if you're bored)(eg. C&C4 is US$19.99 for US guys, AU$69.99 for me...:(). So, I am hoping to find someone in the US that I can paypal some dollars to, and have them make a Steam purchase, then gift it to my Steam account.

Like I said, it is an unusual request, but I'd much rather find a US citizen that can legally gift a copy rather than try to use a TOR/proxy/whatever and end up having my entire account banned...

I'd prefer to talk in PM, but feel free to post here and I'll get in touch.

    Regards,

    Mark

PS. We can talk finders-fee/commission if necessary, but I'm only after two or three titles, minimum fuss, maybe 5-10 minutes work all up. :)

  2. I've never tried it but I'd be inclined to say huge headache. I just can't imagine getting the decal applied such that it won't fall off/fall apart while your painting, but still come off cleanly afterward without messing up the paint somehow.

I'm in the same boat as anime (never tried it) and I agree that it sounds like a headache. You might be better off applying the decal (if the size isn't too small or complex) to some tamiya tape then cut it out to make a mask.

  3. I bought the kit second hand - packed in a plain box, so I've no idea really whether it was a recast, but looking back, it probably was. It came with photoetch, etc, so I'm not sure.

Anyway, was there a Sylpheed kit available? Or is it scratchbuilt?

Petar that SuperSylph is your usual, amazing work. It looks great mate.

Is it only Platz that do a 1/72 SuperSylph? I didn't think it had cockpits? Did you dremel out a cockpit?

Great work, thanks for the pics.

  4. Thanks for letting me know! The kit is actually quite detailed and shouldlook great when complete. The only disapointing part are the instructions, which I really hope to get around and update soon.

Mine arrived this week too. Thanks Andy, the kit looks great and the casting improvements between VF-11 and VF-4 are great too. Your work just keeps getting better! Thanks again!

  5. Loop I agree with you mate. That's not mint, and if something is in a condition other than what was described, you've been done a disservice. To the guys that would say "Loop, get over it", spare a thought for how you'd feel if a VF-1A arrived instead of the VF-0A and meh, "I'm not even a collector" was offered... NB4M I'm sure you get my point. That condition just isn't mint dude. Please remember everyone is entitled to their opinion and to share of their own experiences, good or bad. Glad to hear your experience was a good one and to have you vouch for the seller, but essentially telling Loop that he's making a fuss over nothing and that he's wrong, isn't really the right way to play it.

Final resolution between Loop and Odin is their business, I agree.
