I have a couple builds on bench right now. I just did a test fit on the Tiger Moth from Castle in the Sky anime. And I’m about to prime up the FSS Schpertor. Very excited!

Hey thanks so much! That means a lot to me. I’m definitely a FSS fan boy. Hahahaha. Oh and happy new year to you too! All of those builds are from the past year and a half. That’s when I started building models. No leg pulling. I hope to build less models this year and make the output more dialed in. I hit the ground running when I started building and don’t want burnout.

I really need to reconsider how I prepurchase kits. I may try elsewhere if shipping is more affordable and just focus on cleaning out my PW and not use it anymore. 🤔

Good luck on dialing in that red. I’m super excited to see this come together. Also…does PE play well with lacquers? I have never seen PE or handled it before firsthand.

So I was taking a look in my photos from this year and I have over 20 builds! That’s way too many to share. Here are a few I am proud of. In 2026 I want to slow down on my output and make my building more refined and raise the bar for myself on quality not quantity. *looks like I’m a huge FSS fanboy. 😊

One of my goals this year is to finally purchase a resin kit and will reach out to you for some sage advice. @ThomLooking good. I’m excited to see how the yellow turns out. I have had great results with clear MR color on clear parts.

@Urashiman those both came out great! @Big s I agree. It’s very regal indeed. In the Manga the Vaiola is not destroyed during the confrontation with the Terror Mirage, but rather captured since it was one of a kind and viewed as important to save intact.

Recently finished up this build “Volks IMS 1/100 Vaiola” for a FSS discord contest happening in Jan. I am not a photographer by any means but did my best to take a few phone camera shots that looked alright. Here are just a few. The build was fun and working on a larger scale went better than I had expected. (=

Looking great! How are you handling seam lines or are they placed in inconspicuous places?

Digging these little details. Color separation via the plastic is not so important to me but having them separate parts makes painting smooth and easy.

On the floor next to the bench. I guess I was good this year. My mother-in-law got me a display cabinet for my builds. It’s sooo thoughtful. Now I get to take some of my favorites out of their boxes to display. Should be inspiring and also show me a fun timeline of where I started and where I’m at now. ok…time to build.
