I wasn't going to have a Dr Pepper Zero, but after so much quoting, I feel I have to now.
No one start a thread for it or else I'll be in serious trouble.

Be nice to walk down a street and see a garage sale of Valks.

Stuff of dreams...

Yes, I asked for this earlier somewhere too.
So, definitely some added heft for the 0D which might change handling opinions.

Amusing.
I haven't been hit with customs...ever, as far as I can remember, when buying from overseas. Then I'm in New York, and maybe everything I ever ordered didn't hit a specific minimum for the USA?. Then again, many senders would mark shipments as gifts by default without asking anyways.
Some obvious advice in that thread you posted was to ask (nicely) for the smallest box in order notes. I often paste in a request for the lowest priced shipping option, but I have received a couple oversized boxes from Mandarake in the past and didn't think to revise my request. Will now...for whatever good it will do.

if there's a found horde like those model kits recently, I wouldn't be surprised. I'd be overjoyed.

Folks having Toynami moments with these is something Bandai needs to nip in the bud.

I really like that the Fugu clear covers are simply transparent red in normal light. I'd love a variant where most of the figure were like that too.

He claimed to have a warehouse full of Yamato 1/48s he was accumulating back when they were the new hotness. He would post pictures of cases of each new release. I guess that would be one investment that didn’t pay off. But you have to remember that this was just after the days when a beat-ass yellowed Jetfire would sell for hundreds. So it probably seemed a sure thing at the time.
Got his contact info?

Not for me then. Having a figure that size which can't transform or isn't articulated, if by design or license limitation, puts me off no matter how well sculpted or intricate it is. I want it all if I can have it on smaller scales already.

I've heard Yolopark is looking at getting a Macross license for next year possibly on a 1/35 scale.
Posables, but not transformables, yes?

Possibly..
I am still chuckling at the 100 pcs line.. Right now I am looking at about 6 different versions of the Fokker/Hikaru 1S. each one was super limited!!!!
I am enjoying the unique paint schema's but KC needs to put out something other then a VF-1S to keep my interest.
Suggestion.. SD GBP maybe?
Kakizaki, DYRL version, metallic green.
I'm willing to drink that koolaid. 😄

I've watched a lot of Lego, Figma and Figuarts KO reviews for giggles, and most of them immediately complain about the smell upon opening them.
It's to read you've found a substitutes as I know the mission of finding parts pack at good prices.
I need DYRL Strike parts, but so hard to find at reasonable price, even second hand and willing to ship to Europe...
It's been said (in this thread I think) that the VF KO strike parts do fit an Arcadia. I actually haven't tried to see myself though.
Those parts are on eBay, and places like bababobo if you want to try them. The clear "mechanic" covers, also from VF, seem to only be on Aliexpress last I checked.

Well, KC's "shocking price" sales, imo, indicates some concern on their part....they should have heeded the suggestions from their customers on what needed attention and revisions on their VF-1 mold....at this point, it looks like only a complete design or QC fail on TZ's VF-1 would help keep KC's VF-1 from becoming obsolete...
KC hasn't gone that cheap yet. They know well sales are affected by their stated shipping quotes. I have a feeling those are more flexible than they say.

TZ now seems to be unscaled
I guess that solves the implied conflict...unless one of them eventually sues HG saying it really doesn't and the other's sales hurt their bottom line.

I'm curious for those that have these KOs, do they smell bad like other KO themes, and hows the durability and transformation?
I have the Valkyrie Factory Hikaru and Roy, strike parts, and clear covers. They're very similar to Arcadia, but you can tell there's something slightly off; just not the smell. At the prices I paid, they were worth it. The Max and Millia (on average) are not worth grabbing compared to second hand Arcadias of those (which I did) as those can be found at comparable prices.

From all the photos I've seen so far of the Threezero VF-1J, the large chest vents and weird head sculpt just don't do it for me, so I don't think I'm going to be picking one up.
I agree on TZ, especially the deformed head, but I will say I want to see it up close before I turn my back on it completely. I read some good things about the proposed build quality.
-
Oops, on me for skimming. Yes, I know the Valkyrie Factory Max/Millia versions have been out there along with Hikaru and Roy. I thought @Hiryu meant more than those. (CF, Angelbird, etc)
If those are available somewhere, I'd love to see where.

So, this license is not ending before TZ releases their same scale Robotech valks?
Again, I remain surprised.

I've seen them at Ebay and AliExpress. I'm sure there are others. I don't know that it's kosher to post a link, but can in pm.
Thanks. This is the thread for it (been links in here for previous KOs).

1 hour ago, DewPoint said:I'm trying to focus more on the Hi-Metal R line now as it offers more of a variety with the Destroids and Enemy mecha. It also helps that it is a lot easier to store. I personally find them better to play with than the larger more detailed offerings.
Me, it's cost and space, and I tend to think that's true for most who go all in on HMR.
If I had the money and space, it would be DX for all, and for the original series, I really try to make that happen. However, I have opted for HMR in the meantime, and especially for Zero and Frontier, etc. Might I sell off my HMRs one day? It's not impossible if I do get all the larger scale ones I want, but I still think I'd want to keep some.
I should add that when you have large hands, like me, HMR can be a chore to transform compared to Arcadia or DX, so that IS another factor for me too.

I really wish they would have sold the Fan Racer separately. I really like the VF-1D but not enough to buy one now that its 350+ since I missed the boat on it.
Is this the Mechanic Edition or whatever it is? Whats the story with this? Im not versed in Macross enough to know why its limited edition.
I know, I know, I don't want to be labeled a shill for them, but they do have it and it's the one thing I ever ordered from them, and it actually arrived fine.

They actually did put out the M&Ms. Expensive though at $200+ each. You can find them at the usual action sites.
Ya got more of a hint than that?
This was bound to happen...gray market VF's?

They have the strike cannon though. We know that. I wish they had done that too for this.
I'd sooner expect him to have a strike cannon too.
