I just have some alternative stands already, don't need this one, and don't expect to ever use it. It would just be a shame if someone had a 1/60 Yamato/Arcadia/Valkyrie Factory and needed one while mine sat in a box gathering dust.

Slightly OT, but I will soon be in receipt of a minty fresh copy of the Deluxe stand from the Fugu (which is a KO of the Yamato launch stand), and which I have no need of should anyone be in the market for one...

Obviously not the quality of a Bandai or Yamato, I can’t speak to the Arcadia it’s ripped off from.
As Arcadia is arguably better in build than Yamato, at least for those valkyries that have been released under both brands in the same scale, you can rest assured it doesn't meet the Arcadia standard.
In my opinion, it's >80% the way to being comparable.

Thanks for the expanded comparison here though, gave me a nice background noise source for a slow monday.
Looking forward to whichever you get to next, though I admit I'm still wondering if you were planning a video for the DX VT-1.
That too!

I'd like to be in your will.

I mostly dig mine. I hate the de-macrossification, I get it, but I dont like it. I am a little confused with the translucent pilot. Is he supposed too be a hologram or did they forget to paint mine? I'm going with hologram since it is supposed to be a Transformer. And posing on the stand seems pretty limited, it seems to wanna tip over pretty easy if you get aggressive with posing it. And those hands like the 1/48 Yamato, yuck, terrible hands. Reminds me I would like to find replacements for the 1/48 Roy, but I might live without, lol. With everything set up it is pretty to look at though!!
I like the Macross version, and soon I'll have the non-Macross one. I like both for what they are meant to be (well, the first was meant to be non-Macross, but just kinda half-assed), and can enjoy each that way. Pilot is def a hologram, and go with a Yeti or Archi. I hate the KO Yammie stand, personally.

Great work @jenius!
I wonder when you might tackle the drama that is the Fugu and Valkyrie Factory KOs. I'd love to hear bemoan the problems, but also hear your grudging appreciation (if any).

Any day now, the accumulation of CFs will reach a critical mass that will suck in the whole planet.
So, thanks.

Slowly I am removing the price leftover residual. Using my thumb. Using chemicals will only remove the paint job and ruin it
Looking at that, water may be best.
Anyhow, all of this stuff is great, but triggers memories of New York shops during those years carrying Sanrio or Victoria Fancy versions of all that stuff. If only it were Macross. Actually, my mom knew a stationery store near home that was shutting in the 80s, and which gave away all their Victoria Fancy stuff at the end. Guess they chose wrong against Sanrio, and paid the price. My mom got a bunch of it.
I was given a Three Bigrees wastebasket, pencils, ruler, etc. and thinking how I couldn't bring any of it to school without being beaten up. If it were Hello Kitty, I definitely wouldn't be here.

So . . . because of all these “cost-saving” measures by Bandai, is it probably a blessing that the prototype TV SDF-1 has become vaporware?
I wouldn't go that far.

Meh. I've seen better.

If they do a purple Decepticon Jetfire in custom G1 box I might get it.
Agreed, but I'd take another color first...

Wow. Wish HMR had that set.

Go back in this thread, and Valkyrie Factory did tease a CF, as well as an Angel Bird. Haven't ever seen them though. They seem to have gone all in as Fugu here on the Jetfire.

Disappointed 2nd run FUGU Jetfire had the Macross icons removed, and no heat shield.
80% ofthe reason i bought it was because it was going on the Macross shelf.
All the stickers would need to be in white, so i can't make them.
If anyone wants to swap with a Macross version.....I might swap with ya.

My condolences.

Well, they changed the box too, apparently. Looks like they Photoshopped out the UN Spacy tampos from even the box images, and did a new print run on the box.
