  1. My local Target still had at least a dozen of them tonight at 7:00pm. I was very surprised by this. I ordered one from Best Buy as soon as they went online on Friday morning around 4:00am. (Thankfully, my infant daughter woke me up.) These may not be as difficult to come by as I had originally thought. But hey, at least now I can say that I have both the NES and the SNES. Now I just need a damned Dreamcast!

  2. I dunno... that Reboot short back in November was so exceptionally good that I am still foaming at the mouth for more. That really hit all of the sweet spots for me, so I am cautiously optimistic that EZY will be in the same vein.

  3. Ugh. For as badly as I want it, I have neither the time nor the skill to put together a model of that complexity now that I have two children... LOL. I still have a Patlabor Ingram which has been waiting almost 9 months for some attention. :(

  4. Saw it this past week with my wife (who isn't a big Star Wars fan). Thoroughly enjoyed it, and will happily watch it again. It honestly did a good bit for me to wash the taste of The Worst Jedi... oh, I mean The Last Jedi... out of my mouth. For the first time in my 40+ year life, I appreciate Han Solo more than Luke Skywalker. I personally hope that we get at least one more Solo movie.

I read another article that made the very good point that, if the Infinity Gauntlet confers omnipotence to the one who wields it, then Thanos could have just as easily solved his "problem" by doubling the amount of resources in the universe instead of killing half the population.

I could also see a HISHE for that scenario too.

That... is a fantastic point. His motivation in the original comic story for culling half of the population of the entirety of existence is explained with a very clear motivation. I get that they couldn't do this the same way with the MCU, but still... Thanos in the comics is just so very clever and analytical. I was hoping to have seen a little more of that in the movie incarnation, but it's OK.

  6. Oh, please kami-sama, don't cancel my order with HLJ... I was sitting up with my newborn daughter and managed to get in the window at almost the minute it opened. I only want 1, and this was it.

  7. I am highly annoyed that the TRU exclusive Marvel Legends Scarlet Witch and Vision 2-pack from Infinity War has never shown up at either of my nearest stores and likely won't now. The prices for that box set are already going nuts on eBay. I really badly wanted that set, too. If anybody should miraculously happen to find one and would be willing to hook me up, I would be extremely grateful. I'd also happily trade anything you want of reasonable value from Best Buy.

  8. I have their Sub-Zero and it is amazing. If they somehow miraculously do any incarnation of Robert Garcia from KOF, then I can't buy that quickly enough. I can also say the same for Charlie/Nash from Street Fighter. I agree with the Samurai Shodown sentiment - I would pick up almost all of those characters. They'd go wonderfully with my NEO*GEO MVS!

  9. Wow, I wasn't honestly expecting these to sell out so quickly. Thankfully, CDJapan still had them up a few minutes ago. Paid a bit more than I would have liked, but at least it's locked in now.

  10. According to the Rebels show (which is now considered canon), Interdictor Cruisers are capable - within proximity - of both pulling ships out of hyperspace as well as preventing "realspace" ships from jumping to lightspeed. I don't think that there's any sort of "safety" associated with not being able to escape from this ability. It's just depicted as a gravity well.
