  1. It begins with putty & sanding- useful stuff
  2. I have absolutely minimum modeling experience (I think I made a Star Destroyer once and primed it) so here's my first real try. Using tips from this site, I'm gonna try to do this kit justice. K- I picked up putty, a spray gun thingy, and etcetera. Here we go...
  3. Kidding... Somewhat. I fell in love with the Robotech series during the 80's and always wondered what all the Macross hipe was about. Wow, my wife and I just finished watching Macross: Do you Remember Love, and then Macross Plus... Quite awesome. My significant other actually thinks Macross' it now, and I must say, Macross Plus blew me away. I love the seriousness of the storylines, etc. So I can't wait to pick up Macross Zero... Very fun...and now I have Macross on the brain...
  4. K- I'm alittle worried. I'm just now getting into the modeling thing, and only recently picked up the Hasegawa YF- 19. It appears I have a great deal to learn before attempting this kit. VERY cool pics; I can only hope to develop that level of skill. So I think I'll begin with some generic plane kits or something, to begin practicing. Again...awesome.
  5. ...even screwed up spelling newbie correctly- not my day.
  6. oops- tried to post in newbee but screwed up...
  7. How does this song tie in with the movie? If at all? Not on my DVD...etc.
  8. Wow- I thought I was looking at box art at first when I clicked on this thread. Verily cool! My fav valk!!
  9. This isn't a 'best primer' tip, but I find myself wondering how different the primer products out there really are. ...because I actually use automotive primers fairly frequently (cringe), just for the simple fact that a little dough goes a long way. And on a side note, I recently finished an imperial star destroyer kit, and used a somewhat light grey automotive primer from Home Hardware or something, and wow- it's friggin' amazing how well it turned out; it looks exactly like it does in Episode IV. (with no additional paint, etc. needed)
  10. Wow- these are great tips. Thank you so much guys...
  11. I'm completely new to the whole modeling thing, and the problem I seem to be having is finding a glue that doesn't dissolve plastic, or goop everywhere. ...and I've got a little Ban Dai anniversary macross kit that I don't want to scew up. Sooo then- anyone have glue suggestions, or special 'tricks of the trade' they'd like to share? Thanks. (And please excuse the super-newbee question.)
