Wow...catching up from last night.. Honestly, this is why I just paid the initial markup from NY on PO night. I don't have the bandwidth to be up like a 3rd shift every night hawkeye-ing each site to see if pre-orders open again. I landed a 1A on PO night, and didn't land a 1S. Win some/Lose some. But, I can appreciate those that either don't want to pay the markup or can't for whatever reason.

No offense, but this has been answered a million times. So for any noobs (which I still consider myself one) take the time to search in the thread or familiarize yourself with the searching field on the forum. You can search a keyword in a topic, thread, etc. To answer your question, June 7th.

Fair statement and thanks for the correction. It's probably better articulated by just saying the behavior is quite different even if it has similar outcomes. A shop in the states that needs a wholesaler is no different in the result - a higher price - but it is also different behavior. And all three scenarios are capitalism as you pointed out. But honestly, this is probably somewhat off topic other than the cause for people's sting in not getting POs. I'm not an economic analyst. Just thought it was worth pointing out that these are different practices being discussed.

If NY is going out there and buying up all of the other shops' inventory on PO night only to resell and jack up the price, then they are the same behavior as scalpers. If they are taking their inventory allotted to them by Bandai and choosing to do a wave of pre-order competitively lower than anyone and then introducing second and third waves much higher, that is called capitalism. It's not the same. An MSRP is a suggested retail price. The only way to drive down price is to increase inventory in an open market. If NY had competition at those inventory levels where several other shops were selling the same amount or more quantity cheaper, then they would remain low cost. As it stands, that doesn't appear to be the case. Bandai needs to spread the inventory around in a more competitive fashion in this scenario. It becomes an issue at distribution.

As I understand it, no one can officially sell this outside of Japan without permission/licensing from Harmony Gold. So, the shops that are based out of Japan sell it pre-order from MSRP out to the world. Any shops outside of Japan would essentially be purchasing from a shop in Japan as a wholesaler and then reselling to you with markup in order to gain profit. I was actually in Austin last week chatting with the owner about this very thing.

I did the same and asked here last week. Got a few responses that we should be good to go there. I mean, anything can happen, but NY generally comes through on that. (It was my second order of Missiles from them. First order is shipping now.)

I don't believe loliphenex is going to share that (I wouldn't). In order to leverage API's, you'd have to know what platform AmiAmi uses and then ensure that the platform allows development with an open API set. If you have that, you can develop an integration to that to scrape or extrapolate the data you want mined. It's a bit different than a bot that automates a purchase in that scenario. You're just mining data points that aren't public facing. I didn't read anything that stated loliphenex used a bot to acquire product, but if you have access to develop against those APIs then you absolutely could create a bot to accomplish purchasing it.

Great job. I had been feverishly refreshing that URL watching for it but just couldn't do another night with no sleep just to land a 2nd one. (I bought a first markup wave at NY.). Looks like I went to bed about an hour and half earlier than the listing. Figures. For the 1A they posted about 2 hours earlier so was hoping for that.

Nah a couple people have received shipping notifications. Mine is still prepping though, but I ordered mine a few months after PO opened so guessing they process first come/first serve?

Same here. With how many they've sold through, I'm hoping this at least gets us a 1S sooner in the line of orders than if we purchased later.

Dude...it sucked. I was cartjacked trying to pay by CDJapan, Kurama Shop (those bastards had the nerve to send me an email saying "hey you have something in your cart...you should check out,") and N-Y. Ami Ami cartjacked while going to the order page after adding to cart. And HLJ just sat there with "Adding to cart." So, I was able to get far with bloody 5 of them with nothing to show at MSRP. HA. I guess I'm a sucker for punishment? Totally. I feel you. My damn screen name throws me under the bus though. I had to get this one. With EMS it cost me $300 at NY. Time to go sell some of stuff to make up for this....
