Does anyone have any leads to re-casted or 3D-printed fast packs for the YF-21?  I have two YF-21 reissues that didn't come w/ the FP.

There are plenty of listings on eBay for the older Fold Booster and FP for the YF-19, but the only way to get the YF-21 FP is to buy the now ridiculously expensive newer YF-19/21 Fold booster FP set.

FINALLY got one of my grails that I've been chasing since starting Macross collecting a year ago:

It's been panel lined and a bit yellowed, but this one doesn't come up very often for sale.  I know it's only temporary, but will do the peroxide treatment once summer rolls around.

Just one more to go now, but it's gonna be near impossible to find: anyone wanna sell me a 1/48 VF-1A TV Hayao Kakizaki?

I heard a lot of online orders were mysteriously canceled by GS so glad you were able to keep your order.  Totally agree w/ you about the supporting cast.  I'd buy Shredder and a bunch of foot soldiers too after seeing these guys.

I normally don't collect things other than Macross, Transformers and Voltron but was kicking myself for passing up the SDCC movie TMNT set last summer even though I stood in line w/ a friend who got a set. 

Thank goodness for this general release at Gamestop.  Looks like these sold out just as fast as the SDCC set and they are going for double the price on scalp bay already. 

Anyone else here collect these or got a set?

Count me in on parts if you do part it out.  I need the wings and heat shield cover.

Looking for a used Yamato 1/48 VF-1A south of the $150 mark, any variant.  Can be loose, beat up, discolored/yellowed, broken or junker.  Just as long as it's complete.  

Same goes for super/strike parts if available.  Need for a custom project.

EDIT: Found 1.  Need one more (preferably a TV VF-1J Hikaru -> less paint to strip/remove)...

If you insist, I would:

• Buy a container large enough to fit the parts; line it with tin foil
• Buy a UV lamp/bulb. UV light strips work even better since you can mount them inside the container easily
• If the parts are small enough to submerge easily, use liquid solution, and not the creme
• For larger parts, use a brush to apply the creme, then place the parts inside the container
• Turn on UV light, walk away for a few hours
• ???
• Hopefully it comes out the way you expect

I used premixed developer 40 hair gel cream.  The cream is viscous and thick so it's easier to apply.  This is the one I used.

Edit: My copy is still in the box and I haven't checked it if it has yellowed since I have it in storage for 5 years.

I still think my Jetfire was A LOT worse than this so I don't think this is too bad.  LOL. 

I also have this reissue, still MISB.  You had me worried so I just pulled it out of the closet and mine is still white (...for now...).

@Knight26 Sorry, but too late.    Mine was delivered this week (the "defective" one) and I have a feeling he sold the other one too.

Thanks to @max928 for the awesome DX YF-19 deal and for the super fast shipping.  Would definitely deal with again and a highly recommended seller.  This version has replaced the Yammie YF-19, re-completing the holy trinity.

Yeah, that's probably the plan at this point.  Just gotta find matching gray spray paint.  Thankfully there's no tampos on these parts and the backpiece can be separated so it should be easy to paint.

As evident from my posts in this thread, I've had much success whitening yellowed plastics.  But everything I've done up to this point has been stuff that was originally white or off-white.  I recently picked up some sunburnt Yamato YF-19 Fast Pack parts.  These parts are dark gray and I've never seen plastic that dark go yellow.  I wanted to experiment w/ the hydrogen peroxide treatment to see how it would affect plastic that dark.  

Since it has been cloudy in sunny SoCal lately, I was only able to get in a few hours of sun the first day.  Here are the results after about 3 hours:

Stupid me should've stopped there because the following day was a bright sunny day so after 8 more hours of sun:

It seems TOO much hydrogen peroxide treatment is a bad thing on darker plastics because you can see blotches of white and uneven coloring on the left piece.  

So this is a PSA to those that want to try hydrogen peroxide on darker plastics.  I'm sure plastic composition and other factors also play into it.  Note that this is just my experience.  If anyone else has had better success, please let us know.

Looking for the Fold Booster and YF-21 Super/Fast pack.  I have the later reissued YF-21 that was a bare-bones release without any of the super parts.  Anyone have the booster and fast pack to sell for a reasonable price?

I had assumed the battered Valk came from AJ, but you're right... Reading the post again he did say regular Amazon so now it makes more sense.  I've never had a problem with AJ.
