  1. Whatever happened to the Mondo Revelations Skeletor? Any news on a pre-order date?

The feet on that Skele looked right to me.

Despite everything the one thing about this series that really doesn't work for me is Skeletor with the Joker's voice from the Batman animated series. I always held the view, form when reading say - The Power of Point Dread minicomic - that he should have a sepulchral voice. As the "Lord of Destruction" he should be an impressive and frightening character.

Yet in almost every series he is portrayed as somewhat of a feckless clown.

Had a 1/48 Sonic Birds in the HLJ private warehouse, and just got notificaiton about the regult finally being in stock (only had a week left in storage on the VF-1A, so every day was saying 'release the regult...release the regult already')
Lowest non-sea shipping option was 5160 yen to socal, which is just a few dollars higher than my last purchase from December (similar box sizes)
Just posting this additional shipping comparison info if it helps anyone.

It must be nice to be able to base shipping decisions on cost, rather than on avoiding postal theft.

Just received a "Now in your Private Warehouse" notification from HLJ for the Regult kit. :yahoo: It's still in stock on HLJ if anyone has been waiting to order one.

    I shipped mine this morning.

Just got the notice that the regult is on it’s way.

Hobbysearch has the instructions up Incase anyone is interested in previewing how things go together. And they have multiple pictures of the box showing several spots that say standard type, so more than likely we’ll at least get some missiles in upcoming releases and still hopefully a scout

    Excellent.

f the only thing that entertains you is mindless violence, you need help.  Badly.

I'm not a left leaning American born in the 90's, I'm a conservative South African born in the 70's. Don't expect me to share your value system.

Nobody said anything about "mindless" violence. War is not mindless

This is even more true in fiction where the conflict is a primal battle between good and evil.

Seriously, the only "mindless violence" (outside of the news) I've ever seen has been those straight to video B movies. You know the ones where everyone fornicates and swears all the time, and the only thing you CAN get out of it is the action.

I care. That's all that matters.

Imperialist western democracies like the US, Great Britain, etc. have perpetrated just as many horrors

I know that capitalism isn't perfect by any means.

But even so , I can't see how it can reasonably be compared to either of these totalitarian systems and their astronomical death toll. And its not just the death toll, the ideology itself is anti-human. Capitalism is at least understandable in terms of human nature. Greed is perfectly understandable and relatable.

But Communism and Fascism demand that you give up your individual identity. They demand that give up your individual rights, cut your ties with tradition and even your family - the very things that make you human - and give all your loyalty to the state.

I have never heard of someone turning their own parents over to state police except  under one of these types of totalitarian systems.

It isn't that Capitalism is great, its just that Communism/Fascism are immeasurably worse. They are utterly indefensible, and anyone attempting to defend them shames himself.

... eh, if you completely miss the point of Star Trek, maybe.

My view is that point of any fiction is to entertain me.

If you mean the social commentary that the creators intend, it usually just offends or irritates me. More and more so as the decades march on.

In modern terms, much like insecure 90's kids falling back on "gay" as the I-don't-have-a-decent-comeback comeback, calling someone a "dirty commie" was nothing more than a cheap ad hominem used by people who didn't have a cogent counterargument. 😉

That may be, however the millions of dead under the 20th century's communist and facist regimes are more than enough argument that these dystopian social engineering horrors that must never be allowed a foot in the door. Not in any form.

And anyone who defends these systems in any way, and for any reason, is highly suspect. So I unfortunately this is a black mark next to Roddenbury's name in my book.
