  1. Exactly, that is the problem and that is the only apparent solution. It's really a shame it's not like the yamato. We'll see how it goes ...
  2. The problem is not where to fix it (I will use the inner hole in the chest where the legs are fixed in airplane mode). The problem is that this tip protrudes from the chest not allowing the blanket to stand upright. I'll try as you see by giving it a little angle, but the truth is that it's a bit frustrating. I wish the blanket was "in line" with the edge of the chest.
  3. Some progress, I am making copies of the blankets of the shoulders and the seats. I am also performing the molds of the effects of bandai missiles to be able to reproduce them with some modifications and improvements. But I'm having problems with the side blankets: I already find how to fix the piece to the chest but there is a problem with the bandai design (not present in the 1/60 yamato as this piece is concealed in the chest). Part of the turbine blanket protrudes from the chest making it impossible to fit a piece straight, any ideas?
  4. Gracias! Saludos!

  8. Hey guys, I leave some photos of the work in progress. The master of the neck pieces are finished. I also made a copy of the pilot film version to be able to make the modifications for the TV pilot. I hope to start working soon on the side blankets to finish the kit. Hope you like. Regards!

Yes, I was referring to the whole missile boom, I did not know if I could break something because I did some strength and could not remove it. I want to copy it into resin to add missile effects without damaging or using the original. Later I try, Greetings!

Sorry for the off topic, does anyone know how to remove the front of the super parts? I'm working on some custom missile effects and I do not know if this piece is removable. I've tried but I do not want to break anything, it looks like it can spin on its axis but I'm not sure.
  11. The master of the pilot's seat is finished, I hope I can make the mold tomorrow. I also have the first copy of the movie pilot version so I can start making the modifications to get the TV version. I made another shoulder mold so I could make two copies at a time because of the long drying times. Tomorrow I upload some photos, it's a slow process, but I'm on my way. I hope the next week can start with the side blankets. Yesterday I opened my missile effects to see if possible its cloning. I think pod missiles are extremely difficult to copy without breaking the original model to make the molds. The rest of the missiles seem very feasible to copy, will be my next project when I finish the optional parts.
  12. Hola, creo que a Chile es mas barato, aparte yo estoy en Mendoza, mas cerca no podemos estar ;-)
  13. I believe that the side coverss are very possible to manufacture, only it is necessary to analyze that fixation points existing in the valkyrie can be used to hold them. That is the most complicated point. Another point is the design of the same, since those manufactured by yamato do not correspond to those seen on TV, do you like the pattern of the image or the Yamato?
  14. My idea is to make molds of all manufactured parts to be able to reproduce them, including the effects of missiles and adaptations of them for the GBP. It will take me a while because the resin I use takes 4 days to dry completely, so if there are defects in the piece I need 4 more days to do another test. As soon as I get some finished pieces I will go up the results. International shipments from my country (Argentina) are expensive and not very reliable, so I think it is convenient to wait until the kits are completely finished so it is convenient to make a shipment. I will go making several molds from the blankets and other pieces to speed up the copying process.
  15. Yes, my idea is to modify the original pilot of HMR film version to make the TV versions (Max, Milia, Roy, Hikaru and Kakizaki).
  16. I Buy the GBP about 10 days, I'll be receiving it in about 20 days. Is the shoulder cover for GBP different from VF1?
  17. Just thinking about how many shoulder covers you need for your vf-1s has left me exhausted hahahaha
  18. How are fans of Macross? I have started to work on obtaining the optional parts for the VFs of the Hi-Metal R VF-1 models. I plan to manufacture the same parts launched by Yamato for the VFs in scale 1/60 (lateral breast covers and pilot seat to place in the nape in battroid mode) and in addition to make new pilots of TV version, since the originals are really horrible and are out of scale. I also copied the blanket of the shoulders since in the models VF-1S of Roy and hikaru they did not come when these models were released. I leave some photos of the work in progress. The shoulder blanket was really good, all the details were copied with great precision by the rubber mold, I'm really very happy, when I paint it sure will look like the original. The pilot's seat needs a lot of work still sculpted and detailed, but they can give an idea of how it will look. Greetings and I hope to be able to advance soon! ...
  19. I receive the same reason when they not send me the wave 2 of hasbro black series 40TH, pathetic.

My plan is to make a copy of the original set, then modify it and adapt it to vf-1j GBP. Copying the original set does not look anything complicated, with transparent resin and a thin upper layer of white / light blue paint will look great. I think in 20 days I'll have the set in my house so I can clone it.

I am currently working on getting optional parts for HMR VFs. The idea is to manufacture the same pieces offered by Yamato, including a pilot version tv that in the line HMR are horrible. For the pilot I will be based on the movie version of HMR that has better proportions. When I have some progress I will upload photos, now I am waiting for the missile effects to reproduce them in crystal recin, we will see that leaves ...
  22. Using this resin I have not had problems with the bubbles except in very small places, as for example the arms and legs of hikaru. I got several hikaru's without legs or arms due to the formation of a bubble inside during the dump. This can be solved by injecting the resin under pressure into the mold by means of a syringe. The vacuum pump is necessary for the rubber mold, I do not have one, but the results would be better using it. In the case of the cabin I first filled the container with the rubber and then immersed the piece, thus avoiding the formation of bubbles during the casting. The mold of the cabin was perfect, but it was only luck, perfectly it could have contained a bubble that would spoil all the work. There is a lot of trial and error in this procedure, you just have to get tested.
  23. It is not of the same brand, but apparently it is the same product or one very similar, the one I use also comes in 300ml presentation and also splits with two parts of "A" for one "B". I would prove it without a doubt if you can get it. Another advantage of this resin vs. the traditional one is that by being transparent it can be perfectly appreciated the presence of bubbles inside to remove them or wait for them to rise to the surface of the mixture.
  24. The resin is of a local brand in my country, but is known as "crystal resin" or "liquid glass". It is made of two components and is used with a ratio of 2 to 1. The best thing about this resin is that it has a very slow hardening (3 days for total hardening) which allows to remove all the bubbles before pouring it into the mold. The mold was made with silicon rubber (Oxancil 1720). The glass of the cabin was molded like the rest of the pieces, submerged in the rubber and once hardened to extract the original piece I made a small cut with the cutter. Once the copy was done, the same was sanded with 1500/2000 sandpaper and the final finish was given with auto polishing paste. All the model was made with the same resin due to the good result that I got with the cabin. My next project is to make the optional parts for the hi-metal R vfs. I plan to clone the shoulder blanket and adapt the pilot's seat like the yamato. I also plan to make my own pilots of TV version, since the originals are horrible. I am now working on my vf-1j cannon fodder from hasegawa
