  1. A 1/144 beautifully detailed armored VF-25S.... *faint* I assume this is TomyTec's first incursion into Macross first with the VF-1 kits and now these? I can't help but think this is going to be a smashing success for them which would open the door to future releases from the Macross franchise. *fingers crossed*
  2. Damn it need to wait till I get off work, relax and watch the whole episode of GTV.
  3. Hopefully you're right. Now.. lets see them announce the VF-25 line! am I rite?!!
  4. Will the VF-31C be getting a battroid version so you can combine for gerwalk like the J? Has it been announced anywhere. I would assume so she's much more of a lead than Arad and he got a version.
  5. Thanks for the review. Its more or less what I would expect. It may be a nice challenge.
  6. Looks AWESOME..Great work,. Maybe some outside shots in natural light would show it off better. Is it this kit? If so I'm about to pull the trigger on this one but the thing is its gotten mixed to bad reviews specially on the super parts as they seem to just dangle and droop about when placed on the kit. Did you have to do any mods to it? I dont particularly care THAT much as to the fragility of the kit as I dont intend to have it transform all the time nor play with it. I know its a kit and not a toy, but when parts dont attach right from the beginning, that's a bit concerning.
  7. Haha wow amazing. Do post pics when you have your "fleet" put together!
  8. Thinking the same, and did the same for the super part equipped one . I decided to bite the bullet and get the VF-25S Ozma Lee Armored Version since it was available again at a reasonable price (everywhere else it was 100$+) even if the build/structure of that one isn't as great as the VF-31, the design is different enough and I actually prefer it to the VF-31 slightly, so I've weighed that to be enough to overcome any hardships.*fingers crossed* Great painting, you have talent, I'll certainly try to do the same once I get mine.
  9. Is there a special section in HLJ where one can order the decal sheet or it should show up as an item you can order if you search? I'm looking and haven't seen anything like that so far. Not just VF-31 but previous versions as well don't seem to find them.
  10. I would love a nightmare plus 1/72! DO IT Bandai!
  11. This is sounding better and better.. sadly its going into my private warehouse until I rack up a few more kits for shipping. Arrrghhh.
  12. Wow even though its looking rough since its a 3d printed sample, the amount of details crammed into that small piece is pretty great. Look at all the tiny thrusters on the rear.
  13. Ok I get what you mean. The landing gears seem like horrible afterthoughts, period both visually speaking and with what you mention from a design feasibility point of view. It doesn't bother me that much since I dont really look to display them with landing gears deployed even if they were decent looking, prefer the flying look or in gerwalk. That's not to say that it continues to be a big oversight towards the quality of the kit and a legitimate concern and eyesore for those who do look forward to displaying them with the gears deployed.
  14. You mean like aerodynamically it wouldn't work? or you refer to something else?
  15. Pre-ordered the 2 pack set for gerwalk and battroid. Crossing fingers for this to meet my expectations, the pictures look amazing. Also, hopefully they come out with the Super/Strike packs? Realistically these are gonna be a smash hit for them right? Surely armored versions would be the next logical step.
  16. Forgetting for a second how decal heavy this kit is to look good and proper.. That Super Seigfried looks awesome! I assume the super parts will be sold stand alone as well and released at the same time?
  17. The kit itself looks to be pretty good. The waterslides I can already see on some of those closeups that at the very least the gray has that dot matrix effect :S
  18. Thanks! Ok thanks for the clarification. Really hopeful that the VF-31s use the same build structure as the VF-1s and would still be interchangeable after assembly.
  19. Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster here. So from what I can gather has been discussed here, the Tomytec offering of the "2 kits in 1 box" which is essentially a battroid + fighter which then lets you parts-form the gerwalk is looking to be interchangeable even after initial assembly/glue? Loving the look of these kits, they are very small but the level of detail included seems very interesting and a great setpiece once its built up. Also pre-ordered the 1/72 kits
