Playability, relatively cheap price, and dynamic posing all lead to the Hi-Metal R series, really. They've done a fair number of valkyries so far, along with destroids and even Zentradi Regults and Glaugs. Hell, they even did a Monster. They're branching out in the VF-2 from Macross 2 soon, and we're still waiting for the Tomahawk that prototypes have been shown of for a few months now.
They're 1/100 scale, which makes them small and easily kept around on a desk. The VF-1s do parts-form some, it must be warned. The typical assortment of hands, the gunpod grip, the heat shield, and if you want to remove the hardpoint equipped wings for smooth wings, or to replace either with the smaller anime-magic wings for battroid mode.

Let them do it. It doesn't harm the existing anime in any way.

Where did you order from? Both of mine are taking forever to arrive.
I ordered both Link's Deluxe Edition and Zelda from HLJ, shipped the day they came out via Private Warehouse using EMS.

Got mine, and they are amazing. I wasn't expecting the second stand with Link just for the ball'n'chain and hookshot.

It's an Act-4 style solid arm, not Act-5 modular arm. It should be fine. -
Gotta be honest, I can't find a reason to be bothered by the clear support pieces.

They CAN support the micro missiles on their own, but depending on the peg and hole they might loosen quickly. The outer hardpoints on my Max supported them just fine, but one of the inner ones was immediately loosening when I added the weight of the micro missiles. I ended up using the support arms with my micro missiles just to avoid the weight loosening them over time or otherwise causing complications. The extra mount points on Act 5 stands (like the custom ones Roy, Max, and Millia came with) are perfect for putting support arms from the missile sets into so you can continue using those rather than the tripod stands they used with the Regult, Gulag, and the missile sets.

Finally got my two Hi-Metal R Missile Effects sets. They're heavier than I expected, to be honest. I ended up using the stand arms to support the micro missiles if only because I don't want to risk them pulling the missile pods loose over time.

MyKombini finally shipped my two missile sets. As far as I can tell they only ship out web exclusive stuff once a month. It's been a consistent end of the month/early following month thing even when, say, the item comes out middle of the month like the missile effects did.

The paintguns and command car were for having a ticket from buying unit 1 and sending it in as part of the order.

They're web exclusive, so it's not surprising they're pricy and harder to get now that they're out. I'm still waiting on MyKombini to ship mine. It seems they only really ship their web exclusive stuff out once a month, at the very end/beginning.

I think the Gerwalk is by far the best mode for this figure, it's really the main draw for me. It's so aggressive looking.
It's certainly what got me so interested in it, and the form I intend to keep it in.

Cheaply made clear plastic is a bit of a different beast. Someone already posted a review of the launch arm stand and indicated it's surprisingly solid and hard to tell apart from the original.

That's usually the point of the limit. They tend to relax it later for items that haven't sold out and they can be sure of having extra stock on.

I'm tempted to see if I can pick up a few for more TV-style missiles, and maybe customize a bit. I know they're going for the look of his VF-31 scheme, but the pattern on the chestplate and back is kind of a mess, and nothing will line up if you change the sweep of the wings.
Is this going to be a general release, or webshop exclusive? I'd probably grab 3 of them if I can.
Didn't see the usually obvious indicator about it being a web exclusive.

Huh, that looks pretty damn nice. I don't have a VF-1S yet either...

I usually prefer gerwalk to battroid, to be honest. Just more a fan of low slung chicken walkers, I guess.

I don't mind the blue canopy, but I must admit that does seem like yet another reason for grabbing multiple cannon fodders. I kind of wish I'd grabbed a third one now, to be honest.

I'm not seeing Samus up for pre-order anywhere.
Preorders go up at 8 PM Pacific time tonight apparently. The tweet was from GoodSmile's US twitter account and lists a US-centric time.

I'll admit, your Roy's problem got me to do the same. Every time I've gotten one I firmly grasp the arm and clavicle and roll the joint around with gentle, firm pressure to make sure it's not locked up. Just sort of gently push it in every direction and rotate it to make sure nothing is frozen or snagging or anything else.
