The outer box is the mailer box, that's what it gets shipped from Bandai in. All web exclusives have those. NY should notify you when your item actually ships.

If Arcadia isn't going to fill a market demand, and someone else will, you're going to have people go with the option that meets demand. That's capitalism for 'ya.

Got caught in the "MyKombini went on a one week vacation" trap too. But with my war Machine mk 3 it took them a week to ship anyways, so maybe I won't even notice a difference. Still worth putting up with for only needing to do 50% deposits on web exclusives.

Finally transformed it to gerwalk, which took probably the better part of an hour if only because I was doing my damnedest to be incredibly careful and follow the instructions. Ran into a problem with how I was doing the crotch plate angling and the position of the thighs relative to the intakes/hipcover parts that kept everything from properly hooking together, figured it out eventually and got it all snugly together. It's definitely a bit of a ride getting it to that point and I can see why others would be terrified of it. I'm sure as hell not in a hurry to go any further or go back to fighter mode.

Also happy to report that my Sv-262 arrived today and it had no issues with the tampo printing under the protective sheets. Not noticing any other issues, either.

Just not quite the usual Macross GERWALK badass aesthetic most of us are used to. 

 

That's WHY I like the Draken so much despite having no experience at all with Macross Delta. It's outside a lot of the design norms of the franchise, especially with the single engine look. Gerwalk mode is actually what got me to want this thing, and once it's in that mode it's probably never coming back out of it.

I've yet to have any issue of significance with USPS/EMS shipping. One time I tried FedEx after the EMS rate hike and the box was stomped to crap and the packaging to the Figuarts Iron Man mk 3 inside was damaged from the severity of the box's abuse. Well, that and the idiot who sent out a huge, ratty old box like 4 times the size of the actual item inside with nothing to secure it. Go figure the item inside had issues and had to be returned.

Hopefully this isn't a widespread issue. Would hate for my first try at one of these DX Chogokin releases to be so fundamentally flawed that the protection to prevent paint rub/transfer is itself ruining the paint.

Would using a hair dryer to heat the plastic film help avoid the problem of it lifting paint?

Well, that's unfortunate.

Probably some mix of the two, if I had to guess. I'm not sure exactly how it works however.

SAL ships on a "is there room?" basis. So it's sitting there waiting for there to be space to send it out on a flight. At least you got RSAL by the sound of it, since you have a tracking number on it.

Finally got my confirmation mail, like 20 minutes later.

I still haven't received my mail, but does show up in my open orders page so hey.

Already order stop'd at HLJ. Took maybe ten minutes tops?

It was a balance decision. IS tech is generally higher precision, Clan tech is higher damage while lighter. So Clan ACs fire in bursts (which is a legit lore thing, the AC5, 10, 20, etc thing was an abstraction and autocannons of the same class by different manufacturers could and would behave differently, including one huge slug versus firing a burst of smaller ones), Clan lasers burn longer but have higher damage and range for less tonnage, crit space, etc at the cost of extra heat.

There's no formalized, official pics for the add on set yet as far as I understand it, so that's still a distinct possibility. It'd help make it more cost effective compared to 4 small calve parts and two static plastic drones and their mounting hardware. Compared to the complexity of the add-on armor the more modern valks that's not much, so they'll probably want to add more to help sweeten the pot and meet a comparable price point.
