this past week its been the 25th anni vf before hitting the 35th this week.
The nightmare of decaling pinstripes!
Yeah I know I do things backwards from the norm, I paint the airframe, decal it, detail and wash it... The blue used is a Tamiya fine primer - Alclad II Gloss Black Base - Alclad II Chrome - Alclad II Candy Blue. Then it will be sealed in Alclad II Gloss Klear Kote then detailed, washed and matted down.
Shown is the pilot I'm using in the display from Shapeways printed in the new Black High Definition Acrylate - That material is AMAZING!!

NZEOD - Those buildings are cool for a diorama! That will look awesome. What material are they made of?
NYANKODEVICE - That will be a cool diorama and I think you chose a good scale. The 1/15000 is too small to go into detail with. - MT
Some kind of plastic. Its pretty crisp in the detailing and has tiny tabs and slots to lock it all together. I'm really surprised at just how simply they assembled and how solid it all is. not bad for $15

The Hasegawa 1/72 35th anniversary VF-1 is out now and started shipping as of last night.

Anyone with a gimix vf1 in battroid mode, even broken, want to swap for a 1/72 hasegawa f/a18 kit, unbuilt with no decals, and a brand new in the bag vf19 master file, yell out. I need the left front shoulder cover. New kit had two rights!!!

Your cases are awesome, my favorite is the VF-0s though! Did you finish the Candy-paint Nora ?
Thanks... and no tragically Nora and her SV met an ugly demise... reworked my candy technique though so a MkII minus the rippling issues and shadowing problems I had the first time have been eliminated.
Next candy VF off the ranks is the 30th Anniversary VF-1 and VF-19. Started assembling them this evening.

And some work on the 1/144 stuff
-
Loving the VF2ss
-
Another couple of cases upgraded
-
Another angle on the display background replacements
-
1/72 as well?
... please?
-
Arm guns, Head guns, those pod beam cannons... that should be MORE than enough. Failing that run the gunpods under the wings like the older VF's did

I had to have a break from the Okto modeling, so I decided that I could make some improvements to the Workroid ... then I spent more time to make a few variants of the destroid. And well, working on 4 variants now!
More detail soon !
PS: At this point, I can take any advice or details about how the pilot enters / exit the Cheyenne. I know there is a trap on the left side, but I would love the exit from the head as described below.
What if the pilot is off centre and actually sitting under that hatch cover? You could still have the pilot seat rise up and out like on the Battroid mode Valks

If it says "King Bong" on the bottom, its gotta be good!
Does it need power to levitate, or is that for rotation and lighting only?
The diorama is a good idea with that LCAC too! - MT
3 LCACs... one on the beach deflated and unloading, one incoming on the beach, one in trouble burning in the breakers with the destroids wading ashore
-
yellow sub made one I think - no... I was wrong
-
unknown but it shouldn't be hard to pull one apart and see how it was made to determine if it can be upscaled

it rotates as well...

and customising and painting every single ship they have.... including lighting them all up with 0603 SMD LEDS! Not fun!!
And messing with other stuff on the side...
-
on the side I'm also messing with having a Monster crush a bus with the graphics on the bus and a few bill boards nearby also say "TRUMP - Make the UN great again"
and am working on a mobile for my little girls room using Macross egg planes painted in Alclad Candy
while two of my models settle a few disputes on the printer
Work continues on the 1/72 wall displays
And I get sidetracked with the kids and other halfs X-wing fleets...
including heavily modifying a YT1300 for the better half...

This is the basis for my new diorama tiles.
I have Anti UN Merkavas, T90s, Armatas, Namers BMP-3s and even a 1K17 Szhatie and of course ground troops
Along with UN IFVs and Armour

The decision was made to set up conventional armour amassing along the Kuwait/Iraqi border at Abduli.
However this incursion was used as the perfect combat trial of the Destroid 04 systems with a unit of U.N.Marine preproduction evaluation destroids secretly deployed into the AO.
As the conventional armour and Artillery units began shelling the Anti U.N, factions across the border, the Marines deployed rapidly over Bubiyan and Warbah Islands to hit the defenders in the flanks and cut them off from Basra.
To achieve this they used the Marines Rapid Deployment LCAC's, with a carrying capacity exceeding 100 tons they were easily able to deliver over the beaches two fully armed 04 units each.

WIP: Alternate Weapons Pods for VF-31
in The Workshop!

Wouldn' be enough room. Given how fat those missiles are they look like they should take up the whole width of the pod for something that has a guidance head, warhead centre and drive motor rear per missile.
