Some more 1/144 work from the weekend

the weekends 1/144 work between a wet and muddy Sunday Motox event. No broken bones and a 2nd for the day so a good weekend

1/144 is growing on me due to the abundance of German and Asian N scale rail kits we can repurpose. The wargamersand Gundam modellers use this scale as well so no shortage of items. And you can make scenes that fit in the house better or can even be wall mounted vertically like a picture.... which I'm doing with the Destroid Iraq  invasion scenes. 4 seperate display cases wall mounted the span the story lined up next to each other.

Some more progress on the 1/144 GiMix Macross Airshow display

Discovered that the GiMix macros decals that come with the VFs actually have a carrier film over the top of them that you need to remove after the decals are stuck down. Masking tape takes it off without damaging the decals.

Yeah I have a stack of X-wing repaints and we are playing X-wing when we have the time so ours are parked for now.

More weekend work showed up today, Thanks Amiami.

Nope, size 10 MX gloves and the other unscarred hand was the other halfs. They are tiny models! Working on a 1/144 Hawkeye with modded folded wings and the 8 blade props to go on the deck in Macross colours. The catch is it will have nav lights and motor driven spinning props.

pretty simple looking decals on the one I just unpacked so hopefully its straight forward to do.

Very VERY tempted to try repainting a GiMix VF-31A now...

You can get 1/72 naval crew figures off Shapeways too...

Decalling done... what a fun nightmare!!

No i like the big fat missiles. I just meant to an earlier comment that you can't have them double stacked.

I'm only doing this for fun and mainly personal use anyway, it's a heck of a lot simpler than the things I have to work up in CAD as part of my job.

 

[edit] I suppose if someone wants one and doesn't have access to a printer, or a store that will sell 3D prints, I could print up a batch and ship them out with the requisite hardware.

Shapeways ship worldwide. I get all my missiles and pilot figures from them to new zealand

Oh and a section for the power cell to power the guidance system , control vanes or verniers and the cryogenics for the seeker.
