  1. Wife has asked for a clear out of a ton of stuff so a lot of my Macross stuff I haven't given to the kids to play with is going.

To start with, are these things actually worth anything or should my boy get them to play with?

I don't mean to toot my own horn, my builds look like garbage compared to some of the artists here (ahem Mechtech, WM Cheng, countless others).

But if I'm going to be honest, my little 1/72 Hasegawa builds spark more joy than the 1/48 toys.

I have a 1/48 Strike Valk in my queue, can't wait to get started on it, but I just need to organize some more display space.

My DXs are all back in their boxes, lol!

cut and reposition that launch bar on the nose gear and hook it up to the shuttle

You can do anything.  I also have no electronics or computer skills. It takes some simple tutorials and some help from MW members.  But you need a lot of love.

Check out my step by step thread, and feel free to ask questions.

    Pfft... thats no longer true

Got the Cat's Eye pilots painted and into the cockpit. I just picked colors at random.  Did my best. resin is hard for me to paint by hand with acrylics... clear cockpit pieces are still a problem. not sure how that's gonna get resolved. Hopefully next weekend I can get the plane repainted though!

if thats the moscato kit, the canopies came with the molding plugs so you should be able to make some from that. If you dont have them all the rest of us that have that kit will have them

Finished up the cockpit detailing yesterday, just have to paint the pilots now. Was thinking about a multiple grey camo pattern for the plane, maybe something like the old WW1 ships had. I watched a YT video of a guy the other day doing it on a 1/350 WW1 aircraft carrier build.  I know there's a name for it but can't remember it. Hard edges, like 3 color of grey at differing angles, might look kinda cool... :unknw: Paging master of everything ships @MechTech for the name...

I got a 3D pen for my birthday, and was a bit bored during Doctor who re-runs on TV, so I tinkered around with the pen and made this 1/144 VF-9. :)

Sorry if there isn't much to see, the black got really glossy... next time I'll use other PLA.
