  1. A college friend of mine is from Japan and lives in Tokyo now. He hooked me up. I was quite surprized at the build quality and how streamlined/thin it is. If Arcadia re-issued with a few tweaks....it would be incredible.
  2. This made me laugh. I completely agree with you. I watched about 10min of M7 and thought to myself....."is this a joke? Maybe this is a youtube remix." Its like the writers decided to take something bada$$, join it with something extremely lame, put on some john lennon glasses and throw up the peace sign. They might as well mashup the 80s cartoon Jem and the Holograms with valks. The toy version of M7 valks are awesome. I see why people buy them. I cant see how anyone can make sense of that particular macross series though.
  3. Messin around on my phone with the Pixlr app for Android. Some fun shots...
  4. Lovin my Arcadia YF-19. Messin around on my Android with the Pixlr app.....
  5. But then I guess an example opposite is the YF21 and the YF22. Theyre practically identical yet the 21 demands such a greater price....
  6. Yamato YF19 vs. Arcadia YF19 is another example.....
  7. Agreed about the re-release....but maybe if they were commonplace...no one would want them that much. Seems like the majority here only like the fighter mode.It seems that everyonw here wants at least one of everything whether its ugly or not. Im sure Arcadia wouldnt have issues selling. Question: Simce Im still new, it seems that a lot of re-issues cause the value of the originals to go down (at least w/ macross 1/60)...Im guessing due to reworking the build and making it better. This is the first thing Ive ever collected that had this effect. Usually a re-issue makes more aware that theres a hard to find original out there...attracts a new audience...which makes the demand for the original higher. I dont see that in this case regarding valks. I see newer versions warranting more cash. It baffles me!
  8. Can anyone provide an entire list of everything that Arcadia has released in regards to 1/60 Macross thus far?
  9. Well then that gives me hope that someone out there would be willing to sell me their black neck piece! Maybe I'll just have you 3-D print it for me.
  10. No I have those....just didnt have them in when I took the pic.
  11. My first high end Macross toy. Picked it up off of a member here. These things are way heavier and intricate than I realized....holy cow! After successfully attempting transformation, I'm just blown away that someone could even create such a complex piece of moving parts to form not one..but three things. Pretty incredible and now I realize why "a toy costs $300+" ....it really is like buying a piece of artwork. Only bummer is it was missing the small curved plate the covers the back of the neck in fighter mode. Super bummed about it. Original owner doesn't recall it ever being in the package. Anyone that has the Arcadia YF-19 that will never see fighter mode want to sell that piece? $20!
  12. Thanks! Looking for pics of the mounting points on an Arcadia YF-19 and a Yamato YF-21 v.2 thanks!
  13. Yeti- Any chance you could post a few pics of the underneath/bottom side to show where these are mounting?
  14. What was the MSRP originally?....USD speaking......and what is considered a fair price for it currently....not inflated ebay prices.
  15. Im fairly new to this scene. Whats with the super crazy asking prices on the VF-4G? For something that was barely seen on film and its such a bas ic no frills vehicle that is super top heavy....whats the deal? Was this just something that no one wanted at the time of its release and now there are few to go around? Super rare or something? Fill me in cause the prices on that thing intrigues me
  16. Hey all....I made a survey poll! Have at it... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42448
  17. Hah! Well thats a lot more info than I was expecting to get. Thanks for the pics! That is awesome!
  18. Hi all, So I have this Valk that I've had since I was a kid. I remember my grandad buying it for me in 1985. It seems to be some sort of a knockoff of a VF-1J. I can't seem to find any markings/dates/identification numbers on it. Any clues?
  19. Hi all, Figured since I brought up a touchy subject between all of you, I decided to make an anonymous survey (with the suggestion from a fellow forum member) so get a feel for what the average collector on here has spent over the years on Macross toys! Discuss.
  20. Ill be looking into this as I have over $15k in vintage 80s skateboards. Collecting nostalgia is pricey!
  21. There is...this..... http://www.slashfilm.com/robotech-live-action-movie/
  22. I'll submit my vote for Arcadia to re-work the YF-21.
  23. Just curious a ballpark figure that everyone has tied up in their Macross collections?
