  1. not sure why i don't like the Color + Black scheme, except Fokker because Yellow + Black looks good. Maybe Red/Black, White/Blue/Black looks too striking? but your avatar shows otherwise?
  2. Between the TV & DYRL, do you guys prefer the original TV paint scheme or DYRL version? I think only Fokker has the same paint, but I actually prefer the single color stripe from the TV vs Color/Black tone, and as for Max i prefer the full blue instead of white with Blue/Red stripes. And a side note i prefer the uniforms in TV for both Normal & Pilot suit vs DYRL. I know DYRL version looks more realistic but still i prefer the TV ver. As for VF-1S, somehow i never like anything other than Fokker's, I prefer VF-1J over VF-1S for Hikaru & Max, something to do with the head.
  3. The main problem are the boxes, they are huge and take up much more space than the toy itself.
  4. well, there's over a hundred pages there, and i'm guessing if someone has such collection he'd be infamous here.
  5. Since most Valkyries come in 3 modes, just wondering if there's any hardcore folks here who purchase most 1/48 & 1/60 Chogokin Valkyries in set of 3's? I'd imagine how great they look in a cabinet where top shelf you line up all the Jet modes, mid shelf you line up all the Gearwalk modes & bottom shelf Robot mode all aligned to each other. If anyone happens to have such collection in such display, please show me. For me i couldn't collect Macross stuff as: 1.They cost too much for me even for just 1. 2.Lack of space for both the toys & boxes. 3.Too many models & variants until i lost count. I would imagine Transformer fans won't do this but Macross fans might simply because they look great in all modes.
  6. hi, i tried before posting here, it works on unpainted plastic, but doesn't on painted or top coated surfaces, they dry up almost instantly. the GM300 is more for blending the lines with the paint.
  7. I'm trying to use the Gundam Marker Oil Based super fine for panel lining but find it difficult to use. Previously i used the water based but they don't come in super fine tips so it's difficult to use on smaller kits. I gloss coated the kit, the Excess Oil Based marker doesn't seem be easily cleaned compared to water based where you just use a tissue paper, it dries too soon and i have to used knife to scratch the excess off. Also due to the gloss top coat i have difficulty getting the ink out and have to write on a pieced of paper every now & then just to get the ink flowing. This pretty much defeat the purpose of getting a Gundam Marker since i can't wipe the excess out easily. The marker is new, not sure if it's old stock or Oil based suppose to be this way, but i have to do touch ups after scratching off the excess.
  8. hi folks, i'm wondering is there an easy way to touch up exposed nub marks on special finish kits like those that has Metallic or Gloss coatings? i know the usual removing nub, sand it part, but after doing so and touching up paint of similar color (or none at all), would the area still look different from the rest if i give it a clear coat (gloss/semi-gloss/flat)? i'm trying to do this MG Griffon which comes with Black Glossy finishing, it looks good but the nub marks are located at very obvious areas, i'm thinking of just sanding it and give the whole armor a gloss coat starting with mist then another layer (would the coat stick on glossy kit?).
