  1. Fst, thanks a lot for your responses, things seem to be a little more coherent now. I was under the impression that NUNS was still the preeminent military force on the galaxy. Fleets and planets could have their own forced but NUNS was still the main security provider. The fact that in most materials they refer to it as a single entity does not help much. But a more “EU” style of management seems to fit a post 2051 context. Regarding the VF-31 developments now it makes more sense. I thought that the relation with the Brisingir cluster came to be when Xaos became involved and wanted to move testing from Eden to Ragna, something that, according to the Master file, did not sit well with Shinsei and some NUNS officials. But if the Alliance is straight up funding the whole project it would make more sense. If this fact is noted on the master file please let me know in what page because I want to check if the machine translation omitted it. Also @Seto Kaiba Did you get to translating the rest of the Miracle of Foegal story of the VF-31 AX master file? So far I did not have any luck with my own attempts but from what I've been able to read it is pretty wild, with 25's and 19's advance.
  2. Hi, so recently I've been re reading the vf master files and had some doubts maybe you guys can help me with. My main doubt is with the transition from the VF-25 to the VF-31. I have some explanations on why NUNS never adopted the vf-25 and instead decided to develop the VF-31 series, but they do not seem quite convincing to me. I would like you guys to correct me if I made any wrong assumptions and perhaps help me to fill in the blanks. Machine translation has come a long way but it is ambiguous or outright wrong sometimes. The way I interpreted the VF-25 and VF-31 master files was that 1.NUNS never widely adopted the vf 25 and derivatives limiting it to select units, however colonies and especially migration fleets truly adopted it in scale. 2.At the same time NUNS still was searching for a cheaper, mas produced aircraft with increased flexibility. The VF-31 A was supposed to fulfill this role and incorporate the multi-mission pack. 3.Following the deployment of the yf-29 they started also looking for a 5.5 or 6th gen platform (project hyper nova). Hence the vf-31S and the vf-31AX were developed. My main question would be why they did not adopt the vf 25 in order to fulfill the vf-31A role and why they decided to pursue the VF-31 project despite already having invested resources on the 25 and the triangle project. I can understand the idea of the project "hyper nova" in order to have some edge against possible rivals, but for the general-purpose machine It still seems a little incoherent. So far, the explanations I was able to find are the following: -Perhaps it was because the 25 was too expensive as it mentions NUNS was looking for a more cost-effective option. But thought the VF-31 master file I could not find any mentions to cost saving measures, so it seems it could be as expensive as the 25. -Another theory is that it is because of the hi-lo mix. As it says in the master file, adopting the 31 series allow to have both aircraft deployed together with increased interoperability and somewhat of a deterrence factor. However, reading the "Variable Fighter Generations" section on the Vf-25 master file, it says that NUNS already considered the VF-171 and VF-25 an adequate hi-lo mix. Perhaps the massive 171 losses on the vajara war proved them wrong. -My last explanation (and this is a personal theory) is that Shinshei and General Galaxy are able to start their ow internal projects without needing a request from the NUNS or their funds. Given how decentralized the Galaxy is they could just develop the VF-31 series on their own, with their own resources and without the need for a NUNS request or them even buying the thing. This would also explain why General Galaxy/SV works were able to fund, develop and build the SV-262 and SV-303 on their own. Also, one thing I find a little weird is that NUNS never seems to fully adopt anything past 2059, although In the 31 and 31 AX master file it present some units thata dop these machines It is never widespread adoption. I understand this lore is only semiofficial and that in macross narrative always comes first. But I would like to know if I misunderstood or if I'm missing something. Perhaps on the next installment of the franchise we are going to see the venerable vf-171 getting hammered (again) by the bad guys in the first episode. PD: sorry for the long post
  3. Super intresting info, thanks graman and Azrael, never though about looking into their website. We'll see how it goes from now.
  4. Thanks, I was surprised this morning but a little disapointed at the same time, Honestly I really was hoping I would be wrong and they would release further details. Regarding the timeline, you are absolutely right, however I would bump it back not a full year but perhaps two or three months. Auditions for Delta were announced in december 1 2014, quite late in the year. Even so, who knows if they are going to follow the same schedule. Knowing the song for the aditions, and going maybe a little overboard with speculations, I think they are going to play it safe. The song is completely in line with the Frontier/Delta syle. Furthermore, it seems to me, and I would want to know what you guys and gals think, that macross is not high in Kawamori's priorities rigt now, given his involment with the Osaka Expo 2025 and the Japan Anime Tourism Association. Also, I would really like to know why Satelight and Kawamori have parted ways, perhaps because of the end of the pachinko deal in 2020? Perhaps beacuse Satelight is night now focused on the Ubel Batt adaptation? Regarding Sunrise. The latest gundam Tv series is going to be handeled by Khara and the only think they should be working on is Hathaway II, maybe this leaves an opening to work on macross as Sunraise has proved thet can handle at least three productions at the same time. However, they might be working on something I do not know. RN we dont have much info, the only think we can do is wait and compile as much info as possible and specualte based on that, at least it's fun.
  5. Taking into account how marketing was previously handeled for Frontier and Delta and the presence of Meguni Nakajima and Minori Suzuki in the stream, I would bet they are going to announce another contest in order to choose the next main singer. If I had to speculate further perhaps we are going to get a tentative title, but nothing more. If the contest theory is correct, we could expect them choosing a winner arround summer, a full presentation in, september/october and a full release in the first months of 2026. A rollout similar to Delta. But again It is just pure speculation. Anyway It is good to hear that things are moving forward.
  6. This is soo cool, I will probably get myself aother 31J and do the mod asap. Thanks.
  7. Great work, hope you enyoy it.
  8. Soo cool, Saw It on FB this morning, hope you like It.
  9. In the latest bandai toy there is a gimmick in order to use the arm canon in fighter. The whole system folds and stows between the legs. You can even use the gunpod. In this video it explains it pretty well. 11.19
  10. I also made an improved gu-15 gunpod for this tpy. Now I'm thinking about designing the fast packs, but that will have to wait. Regarding the rest of the missiles that come with arcadia/bandai, as the yamato vesion does not have hardpoints, I probably won't bother.
  11. Hi this is my second 3d printable design and still a work in progress. This is the famous Arm Canon that appeared for 5 seconds in Macross plus and wanted to design my own rendition of this cool gadget. I printed mine on a fdm but you can get better results on a resin one, especially on the big gun. Requires glue for assembly. If requested I can also make a version for Arcadia and Bandai toys Be free to download it and do your own mods to it. Hope you all enjoy it. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5224634
  12. Currently working on my own version of the Yf 19 arm canon for 3d printing.
  13. Since I got my Yamato Yf-19 this December I noticed the gunpod is quite small, something noted back in 2006. This is something Arcadia and Bandai solved. So, I decided to teach myself 3d design and make this my first project. So, bear in mind that I'm still a beginner and the design is far from perfect. The dimensions are based on the Arcadia Gunpod, special thanks to anymoon.com for providing the photos as well as to Macross mecha manual for providing hd versions of the original design. I decided to add extra detail that the original yamato gunpod has, like the vent holes. Also, changed the shape of the grip to fit the yamato hands. Currently it works great on battroid and gearwalk, however it suffers from the "starfing gunpod" syndrome as it is longer than the original. This is the first version. If any of you guys wish, I can also design it to fit arcadia or bandai hands if you are willing to provide photos and dimensions of the grip. This prototype was made on a low-end resin printer so you will notice some deformation and little details that are off. The painting is also quite lackluster, I decided however to go for a more anime accurate greyish green. Currently it's a little heavy for the articulations of my toy but it works. Feel free to download the file here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5179225
  14. I GOT IT!!!!! Sadly my friend decided not to sell it. However I found one used and slightly damaged on Mandarake. 110 eur shipping included so still a decent price. Thanks everyone for the advice.
  15. Mandarake just got back to me and you guys were right. With packaging the weight increased to 2570grams. Thats a lot of carboard right there. So be advised that 8100jpy is what you will have to pay for shipping something similar. Now it's time for me to decide if 114eur for a yammie yf-19 is a good price or not, but that is another storie. Thanks everyone.
  16. Thanks for the info, makes more sense then. The oficial EMS page does not allow you to enter the dimensions, only the weight, so I calculated the 4.300/4850JPY. However when using the Buyee shipping calculator, wich includes dimensions, the price was still 4300. I just sent them a mail this monrning asking if there is any problem. We'll, see.
  17. One question, Is EMS getting more expensive? Recently placed an order in mandarake for a Yammie YF 19 and they want to charge me 8100 for a 1220 gram package. It has nothing to do with the prices stated in their charts nor with the estimations I also made with buyee. Has anyone experienced something similar?
  18. Has anyone any idea if this guy is still working on it? He hasn't posted in 10 months, but the project seemed quite advanced.
  19. Thanks, seems to be the first edition. Ive also seen there are replacement parts for 3d printing, anyone have experience with tose?
  20. Good point!!! It is the 1/60 one, always avoided the 1/72 one as the reviews are quite poor.
  21. Not ready to drop 280 or more on that one, however, it's a beauty.
  22. Hi, I'm considering getting mi first macross toy and wanted some advice. Recently a friend has offered me a Yamato Yf-19 (first version) for 90 eur shipping included. I just wanted to ask if it is really wort it for that price. Semms that that design has been surpased by Arcadia and Bandai, but the price of those is more than prohibitive. I halso have heard good things about the hi metal series, but its prize has also been getting higher with the years. This seems like the best opportunity to get a transformable Yf 19 for a good price. Tell me your opinnion.
  23. Really excited about this project. The amount of work is amazing and the fact he had to start all over again two times is impressive. Seems he is trying to replicate the bandai version. Hope he sells the files at a reasonable price or provides them for free like the optimus he previously made. However seems we will have to wait, ¿2022 release perhaps?
  24. Hi, after knowing it will have english text I'm definitively grabbing one. Amiami seems the best place to grab one so fat, is there any other good option?. Also, are any delays expected with shipping as the release date falls in the christmas season?
