There's less than 24 hours left before the auctions end. There's a Mikimoto book in there, too.
Yes, I know, shameless bump.
-
Absolutely beautiful max custom. Gotta hurry up and finish mine.

Pineapple juice.
Sprinkle some fresh baking soda on the head. Wait an hour. Rinse. Ta-Da! Chicken head approved.
Pineapple juice just don't cut it.
You don't put it ON, you drink it!

Drink? Juice? I never made that connection. Fascinating.

I'm over my Lego phase, though. Tryin' to move all my lego sets next month. Just testing the waters with this set.
really cause i sure ain't, hit me up and let me knwo what you gots.
BTW, i just collect SW lego.
You got it. I'll PM you before I put anything up.

Just wait for the auction go even higher. Hell you can get 2 1/48s.
I hope you're right.
BTW, I wouldn't mind having your collection, or even one a quarter of the size.

Well, yours is doing better than mine. My MPC VF-1S, with the armor, only got $152 or so. And I even mentioned in the listing that people should go buy the Yamato 1/48 at V-E if they wanted a really awesome VF-1, yet they still came. It was to an Australian. Maybe they didn't get MPC down there (lucky them). Your US high bidder has no excuse.
You cancelled a bid of a 0 bidder? We all have to start at 0 you know. It'd all be ok had he bought and paid for a $.25 trading card first? And then you have one guy begging for a BIN. I hate such people. If you don't want to play the auction game, then don't bid on auctions.
So what are the mini Star Wars Legos like? I just sold all my big sets. But thought a mini shuttle and mini destroyer would be cool to have around.
Congrats on the ROI,
Scott
You know, the way the guy came at me right out of the gate, it startled me. My first impression was that he was trying to derail my auction. I don't know why I thought that but now I feel like I should've taken his offer. Oh well.
As for cancelling a 0 FB bidder? Well... He was a New 0 feedback bidder and, in my experience, they're usually harder to deal with. Maybe he saw a 99¢ MPC and decided it was time to sign up and bid.
The Minis are pretty cool. They come with a lot more pieces than it looks like. I'm over my Lego phase, though. Tryin' to move all my lego sets next month. Just testing the waters with this set.

Some of these HAD to have been photoshopped. They're too funny!
-
I figure I'll get this...
-
I'm as surprised as anybody about the prices these MPCs are going for. I figure I'll unload them now before people realize they're spending money on crap. I even tell people the money from the auction is going towards a 1/48 Yamato.

That picture is frickin hilarious.

I tried to use math and get the proportions using equivalents but ended up too big. so I had to just use trial and error.Stupid math...
I think your idea is genius. Don't get mad if you see me driving by with the same thing on the end of my antenna.

Anybody know the going rate for a Max or Miria 1/48 Yamato at Frank & Sons?
I'm planning on going this Saturday.
Tanks. Tanks a lot.
-
i have a 4pack of regult pods on the way and a 1/72 GBP armor and other various models on the way...
These are some rare and pricey kits you're building. Where are you getting these? If your wife is getting you these then you're a very lucky man!
What scale are those four regults you're going to build?
-
Nice lineup Grayson. Thanks for showing off your tools, too.
-
Bah, the 1/60's suck anyway.
86 those suckers, and get yourselves some 1/48's
This is blasphemy! The 1/60s hold their own against the 1/48s. They cost less, they've got die cast, and they have more selection.
I'm NOT saying they're better, just that they have their own redeeming qualities.
They definitely don't suck!

When people go Insane.

That insane person just got $28,000. I ask you....WTF would you want a POS like that for? It even made the newspaper.
Religion is the opiate of the masses and, when you look at the obesity epidemic in america, you can see why a religious artifact combined with a tasty snack is such a hit.

Building it with landing gear up is really tough. I was building a hase valk and hit a brick wall at that point. That kit's been sitting there unfinished ever since.

Thanks, I had to rescribe the panel lines but the right tools always makes it easy.
What tools do you use to rescribe the panel lines? And, where can I get 'em?
BTW, great job on that valk. How about a line-up photo of all your finished 1/72 scale models?
-
Great model Grayson. I remember seeing it the first time you posted it and I didn't post anything in the thread. Your kudos are long overdue.
I am trying to get some modelling time after work so I can post something soon. Hopefully, everyone will use some of the upcoming vacation time to put some more work in.

Wow, the crotch armor extands all the way to it's KNEES.
Valks are well hung.

Sorry, I'd love to start this thread out with some pictures but... Past creations of mine (by Bandai) are so horrible I'd be ashamed to show them to anyone.
I think that's why this thread won't be as successful as the toy one.
I'm basing this on my own personal feelings but I think most people are embarrassed to show off their creations because they think they won't measure up to the WM Cheng works of art. (No offense WM, keep 'em comin!)
I like the idea of this thread and I would like to encourage people to post pics of their completed works. We'd love to see them. Nobody's gonna be mean about it if they're not perfect. (I got your back if they are!
