Looking at the close-up pics, I can get a sense it's gonna be built very solidly despite all the extra moving parts. Not a surprise considering its Pose+.

Maybe we are too harsh on it at this stage - at least its not a straight up larger size of Sentinel's, but has its own extra gimmicks and features.

It definitely is alot and I can't imagine it not being the priciest Legioss ever, but if my other Pose+ over the years are indicators - it will be solid and quality.

This is not the fireconvoywinnebago train wreck.

Props to @Test_Pilot_2 for bringing this to my attention.

Finally gave it to my son and had him assemble it. . . Didn’t expect the final assembled product to be so big:

It looks great and my pleasure. I hope he enjoyed building it - it's really cool, especially with the LED bricks. Mine didn't come with the little spikes on the horns - maybe he added those to make it look cooler?

  3. I won't/can't post everything, but this just got delivered. I was waiting anxiously for it as I paid a bit for just a box, but it's a win. Card stock, plastic, and printing (both good and bad) clearly ensure authenticity. I bought an immaculate copy of MUSHA over 20 years ago for 10 bucks after a local video rental closed. It was an aberration considering how clean the cart is...

I've scoured all the back-end channels for an authentic case this whole time and found one finally. It's not perfect - has some pretty severe sun damage, but it's what I've got and I'm happy. It's all legit. Maybe it'll be another 20 years before I find an authentic manual and whatnot.

Don't beat me up about my Nomad - it deployed with me in the mid-90s and got a little beat up. Very happy collector today.

  4. Picked up an immaculate black label Xenogears yesterday at a shockingly low price considering it looks barely used/played. Hardly a scuff or scratch on the outer shell. There are signs of use, but barely.

Have a second, bigger find coming in, but need to verify its authenticity once it gets here - 20 to 25 years in the making, lol.

Following up on this... wife's car is STILL in the shop.  The order the dealer placed for a replacement battery was cancelled (Hyundai makes them, and apparently they're hording them for new vehicles).  We're obviously NOT happy.

Thinking about buying the wife another car, then putting off an "everyone can use it, especially me when the weather is bad and I don't want to drive the Porsche" until the lease for the Kia is over.  Must be electric, wife prefers SUVs, and riding in my Porsche has given her a taste for luxury.  Thinking the BMW iX might be a good fit.  Thoughts?  Edmund's really liked their long-term fleet car as it was fast, comfortable, has a great interior, and it was one of the most reliable EVs in their fleet.  Only downside seems to be the exterior, which the wife and I agree is kind of fugly (but fugly is kind of BMW's MO, I think).

This experience and many others like it are why I'm debating parting with my EV6 GT and moving to either a Cadillac Lyriq or Optiq...

Lyriq already has a V and the Optiq V is around the corner. If you haven't checked those out they're worth a look.

Edit* which reminds me, the local Cadillac dealer reached out to me about a special going through end of June, I think. Timing doesn't work for me, but it's there.

  6. NM - I see that the SSD looks jacked which is a bummer.

Just in case this happens to someone else - I wonder if the windows update jacked up the system's ability to see the SSD as bootable - it happened to my dad's computer and it required installing windows on a working drive, side-loading a driver for the SSD, then cloning windows from the working drive to the SSD.

It was a missing driver issue in windows for us that one of the windows updates messed up either 22h2 or one of the h2's.

Have you seen GPU prices????? MSRP for a 9070XT is a freakin' steal.

The $500 offer for the 7900xt helped.

Finally got it benchmarked... and while it's a niche area, I hit #1 in the world for my setup on the Speed Way benchmark on an Ally X and the EGPU I built. I need to tweak some things because the GPU is just a hair wider than the case. Once I move the fan controller it'll all fit nice. Runs wonderful, not revolutionary, but much smoother and anything with RT or frame gen is much, much better. The new Doom runs great whereas it would crash on the 7900xt sometimes.
