  1. So, do you plan to do any other characters xsoys? I do want a Roy, but I'm trying my hand at sculpting him myself for now. He's..... well, I'm modifying an existing head for the Neo Guy body, so I don't have to sculpt it from scratch. I really can't sculpt that well, but good for me, Roy's hair is pretty easy. If you're not planning on making any more head sculpts (to be produced for members of Macross World), I was wondering if somebody would cast my head when I'm done with it? Not really to offer it to anyone (it's not that amazing, but it's still Roy), but just so it can be stronger than sculpey. Anyone I should ask?
  2. I hate to be biased, but all I really want is a sweet Roy figure! -Oh, those Macross Plus figures are just what I'm talking about!!! Now somebody make me my Roy! (Maybe if we bitch enough, somebody with sculpting talent will make our favorite characters available to us.) Well, it's a thought....
  3. I was wondering if any one on these boards had ever, or is planning on, sculpting character figures of the characters from Macross? I got to thinking about it, since I just bought some trading figures, but I realized I really want posable figures of my favorite Macross characters on my shelves, next to my other anime and video game figures/models (Valks included!). 12" seems like the best scale, since then people could customize the clothes themselves to be from the movie or the TV show (not to mention that sculpting whole figures would be really, really difficult to do). I think just the heads, and then people could attach them to 12" bodies. Personally, I reccomend the Volks Neo Guy body for Roy (it's a really nice, highly detailed, muscular resin 12" figure body). Maybe if there are more people like me out there, we could get some somebody interested enough to sculpt the characters we love. Any thoughts?
  4. I like the TV show death a lot better, but then again, I like the TV show a lot better. Roy was always so proud that he was never shot down, so in the TV show, (really) he never was actually shot down. Best I can say about the movie death? Well, he killed the final baddie from the TV show.... that's something, right?
  5. Sweet! I have to say that this is really the only feature I like on the Robotech Masterpiece editions. LED..... just can't go wrong.
  6. I just bought two VF-1J's and three fast pack sets from Tinsinc's Ebay auctions. I hate the inflation, but their prices aren't as high as some others I've seen. Now I have to go and get a VF-1J Max to go with the VF-1A Max I just ordered (to take it's hands and pilot for a custom VF-1S TV version, as well as to make a movie VF-1S Max). I do agree though, time to get everything at once, since it looks like it's getting more scarce all the time.
  7. I just heard they will be around $18 (give or take) for a set of hands. I want four sets, so that's going to get a bit expensive.... But you know, to make the perfect Valkyries, nobody ever said it would be cheap.
  8. Hey, no fair, everyone is already starting to try and get on a list for these?!! Grrr.... Put me down for 4 sets also, please!!! I think you've done an absolutely fantabulous job capturing those hands in 3-D. Great work!
  9. I just got my first 1/48 scale Valkyrie today, and wow it's great!!! I purchased a VF-1S (Roy) 3rd edition (since it's probably my last chance to ever get one). I also bought Super/Strike parts to go with it (gotta have those) but as soon as I opened the box the left arm armor piece broke where it attaches on one side. It's really upsetting, since it did cost an awful lot of money just for the super parts. So I have 2 things that I'm looking for: 1. replacement left arm armor piece for 1/48 2. VF-1S head (can be a recast, but I'd love a 1/48 VF-1S Max from the movie) Thank you very much for your time, and I appreciate any help/insight anyone has. Macross lives on!
