Looks like Splah Mountain's replacement is coming this summer at WDW...

May head to DL instead....haven't been there in over a decade...

I recall they were planning on that during my family's trip to WDW back in 2022 and my son LOVED Splash Mountain too. Probably one of the easier renovations they ever did since it remains a southern themed ride.

Pedro is the go to guy for every franchise from DC to Marvel to Starwars and video game movies. Pretty soon he’ll be a candidate for President and everyone will break out their old vote for Pedro merch

Yeah and its getting kinda old. It's like they're trying to gain nerd cred by casting Pedro Pascal. Pedro is a fine actor but maybe they should look for some new faces??

Looks awesome, and hilarious! Will this save the MCU? Highly doubtful, one movie can't do that. Will it make a billion? Probably, but that was pre-determined, people are in for this because its Deadpool 3, not because it's now an MCU film, this was always going to make money.

MCU needs to go anti-MCU to save it. DP&W and Thunderbolts could be a good start.

Has anyone else watched Killers of the Flower Moon yet?

If so, what was your take on it? I watched it last night and if I'm being truly honest here, I don't get how it got all the praise that it has. For a 3-hour & 26-minute movie, I found it very slow, choppy editing and uneven pacing. Disappointing overall IMO.

    Same take as well.

And I really liked the flashback scenes in F2. IMO, they added to the history of the characters. That's not to say I'd want them to keep doing that in Frozen 3... In doing another one, it's time to move forward with a new story.

As to the title, I like the idea, but I hate to say that most people may not get it, and it might turn them off. 'What is Tenaga Whenowat..?'

And if you're not a fan of the Rock's live acting, how do you feel about him reprising his role in the live action Moana?

The FROZEN flashbacks was overused in too many scenes imho. Most successful sequels have little to no flashbacks. Reference sure, but no flashbacks.

Jury is still out for The Rock in a live action Moana but is that a good idea at this point? Seems kinda redundant with another animated movie coming out so soon.

  6. My main complaint with FROZEN 2 is that it was too heavy on nostalgia/flash backs from the first movie which to me is lazy and didn't feel fresh. I'm hoping Moana 2 can learn from this. Shame that can't be more original with the title too. I think adding Maori language to the title would have been more fitting, they use Maori for the songs ffs. MOANA: Tangata Whenua (people of the land) for example.

On a side note I'm not a fan of The Rock as an on screen actor but do enjoy his voice work in animation, looovvee "You're Welcome" so my expectations will be high for the sequel's music and songs too.

Frozen 2 makes zero sense but Frozen felt much more sequel friendly than Moana. I'm very skeptical of this.

I have yet to see a Disney animated sequel that is better than the first. Ralph Breaks The Internet was equal to the first movie imho. Most sequel titles with just a number only don't ever seem to be an improvement over the original and comes across as lazy. Maybe I'm wrong but I can't think of one. Hence why I'm sure many are skeptical.

edit: Toy Story 2, 3, etc all seem to be better than the original.

  8. Hopefully it's better than FROZEN 2. I really enjoy MOANA for its Maori roots as my deceased step-dad is quarter Maori from Rotorua, New Zealand. NZ is like a second home for me and I've had 3 extended stays there since 1999. During my visit last August 2023 I heard the Moana soundtrack in retail stores and outside schools so its still very popular there.

@Return To Kit Form  Totally sucks! My second car was a '97 Mustang GT convertible. Yours looked pretty sweet before the crash.

@Seto Kaiba It looks like we'll see some production news on the Dodge EV very early next month. I'm excited for it as well as its the first EV I've seen that doesn't look like a station wagon.

Actually, he directed one ep in Season 2 and another in Season 3.

This little bit is from the season finale of Season 1.

Oh, you are right. Thought it was that one episode that Carl directed where they were facing down TIE fighters, again!! Funny how some episodes seem very similar, lol.

It just doesn't feel right, so young at heart, so hungry to keep going. It felt like this guy would just keep going until he was in his 90's and probably still popping out iconic roles we'd remember him by. I was extremely bummed out hearing about this yesterday, and it still feels very unreal now. I really get how Stallone is a lil taken back and holding it.

IKR... Both my parents (mom 82, dad 75) and my FIL (80) all have crappy health and Carl Weathers who looked to be in good shape and still working suddenly dies at 76. Carl could have had some underlying health problem, genetics, etc that we don't know about but still doesn't seem right that he died.
