I'm torn.  I love Godzilla 2016 because of how serious it is, but I love these because of how goofy they are.  Which do I support more???

Do you mean Godzilla 2014? You can watch both and enjoy it tbh. I will say 2014 did have the best VFX and realism however Skull Island was the best balanced in regards to the monster action, VFX, human story + cast, etc in the whole Monsterverse.

I guess I am not that hard-core of a fan if I was not aware of the "Director's Cut" of ALIEN....what's betetr or worse about it?

The Director's Cut includes a few extra scenes such as the Dallas/Brett egg morphing scene. Don't want to spoil it for you if you hadn't seen it yet but you can easily find the scene on Youtube. Worth a watch but kinda messes up the intensifying flow of the original film.

  3. Saw the ALIEN Director's Cut in the theater almost 20 years ago, prefer the og film but recommend seeing ALIEN in the theater at least once in your life.

That being said I feel motivated to re-play ALIEN: Isolation again for the dozenth time.

  4. Well, Just when I thought THE MATRIX franchise was dead... That being said, 25 years after the first I'm up for a new MATRIX film but it must be in new director's hands, which it is, so I have some hope for a new sequel.

  5. It's amazing how strong Godzilla and Kong Kong is as characters today. There has been more Monsterverse/Japan/anime films than STAR TREK and STAR WARS in the last ten years.

Also, most of the Godzilla/Monsterverse related movies are way better than the recent STAR TREK and STAR WARS (except Rogue One) movies imho too.

Good time to be a Godzilla fan!

The Legend of Zelda's got a broad strokes universal adaptor plot that can be neatly slotted into a bunch of different aesthetics without issue.  The creative team working on it ought to have a pretty free hand in coming up with their own aesthetic and approach to the story. 😁

The only issue is that Link will almost certainly actually have dialogue... which will be every bit as weird as hearing a Mario that doesn't have Charles Martinet's over-the-top Italian accent.  Not a dealbreaker, just a weird thought as someone who's used to Link as an unspeaking protagonist.

Just like when we all saw Masterchief's face in the HALO series, lol.

Did anyone else have a crush on her back in the day? looking forward to seeing this one.

On Winona? Of course! Not so much during her crazy shop lifting days tho, lol.

On a side note my young son had a crush on Jenna Ortega from her Wednesday Addams meme Youtube videos, lol.
