Interesting reunion as they were both in Man of Steel and in somewhat similar roles with Cavill as the main protagonist and Crowe giving guidance again.

We all know the Dinks was singing the theme from Bridge On The River Kwai but it just dawned on me that film also starred Alec Guiness. So decades later I now wonder if that was intentional or coincidence? lol

According to the press release, the film has been described by those who have not yet read the script as "A Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film".
So in other words... exactly what we expected!!

Not saying Kia makes a bad car or anything, just that I’ve stayed away from them due to the KIA acronym due to unfounded superstition
KIA = Know It All? lol

Following up on this... wife's car is STILL in the shop. The order the dealer placed for a replacement battery was cancelled (Hyundai makes them, and apparently they're hording them for new vehicles). We're obviously NOT happy.
Thinking about buying the wife another car, then putting off an "everyone can use it, especially me when the weather is bad and I don't want to drive the Porsche" until the lease for the Kia is over. Must be electric, wife prefers SUVs, and riding in my Porsche has given her a taste for luxury. Thinking the BMW iX might be a good fit. Thoughts? Edmund's really liked their long-term fleet car as it was fast, comfortable, has a great interior, and it was one of the most reliable EVs in their fleet. Only downside seems to be the exterior, which the wife and I agree is kind of fugly (but fugly is kind of BMW's MO, I think).
Sucks about your wife's Kia. I was looking at a Kia Seltos but holding off as my current dadmobile (2013 Nissan Juke) with 103K miles is still working fine. BMW and Audi EVs are popular in my area but nowhere near as popular as Tesla still. Rivian R1S perhaps? Agree that BMW's EVs are ugly too, lol.

According to wikipedia, PG-13 as July 1 1984:

Came here to say that. The system probably updated over the years on what was allowed for each rating. Amazing what we 80s kids grew up with, lol.

Had to look it up but had no idea that SPACEBALLS was rate PG, it had a lot of sex innuendo and adult language including one F bomb. "I bet she gives great helmet", lol.
On a slight note I can see why it took so long to make a proper sequel as we have had lots of STAR WARS spoofs in recent decades. Notably from ROBOT CHICKEN and Family Guy.
-
Just re-watched SPACEBALLS on MAX, still got some chuckles from it. My young children were casually watching it with me while on their tablets and were kinda confused by the film thinking it was a weird Star Wars film and had to explain to them it was a spoof, lol.

That’s an odd one to get the hd treatment. I remember it liked sub par back in the day. Loved the movie and curious how the upgrade will look
It's for that Gen X nostalgia money. I loved KRULL when it came out but the SLAYERS had the most disturbing death sounds I ever heard when I was a kid. Many of the deaths for the heroes were pretty disturbing too... squish!!

RIP to the og Bird Person.
On a related note Harris Yulin passed away too. I was kinda surprised he was still alive...

Dang, I liked Gadot in the roll. Oh well, change and reboots come ever faster and faster in the movie biz.
Gadot was perfect as Wonder Woman but we were all wronged by the '84 sequel. Ugh. I still wish the Snyderverse DCU films had a conclusion. *sad face*
Still, curious as to who will be the next Wonder Woman. Anybody willing to place bets on who it will be?? I can't think of an actress that is as tall as Gadot who is 5'10.

Welp, it looks like its actually happening!

4. Boba Fett
Dumpster: Obi Wan
Bottom of land fill: The Acolyte

Almost 20 years... there should be a necro award for this.
-
Watched it on D+ and while not terrible its still not the kind of movie we'd pay money to see in a theater which sums up almost all the post-Avengers films imho.
Disney really should look at at other property to buy to create new media with and hopefully not f up.
-
Hopefully its good as THE EXPANSE was one of my favorite sci-fi series in the past ten years.
-
I thought it was well made. There is only so much you can do with the PREDATOR and it seems they are pushing it more than ever before.
Also, Michael Biehn's age seems to be taking a toll on him as he sounded much older than he really is.

I wired my home for Ethernet while I was waiting to move in... Everyone thought I was crazy because mesh has taken over but I love my old dependable wires.
This is the way. I wouldn't game unless it was hardwired and my PC connected to my Verizon FIOS modem. Everything else is fine via WiFi tho, lol.

Also unfortunate as well is that there are still many homes without structured data wiring.
Newer homes may be wired for Ethernet or... you can buy a hybrid mesh that uses Powerline which is what I use and works great in my house.

LOL, the amount of connected tech has increased significantly since we moved into our house almost 12 years ago. Quick list:
1. WiFi home mesh
2. WiFi/App connected kitchen appliances
3. nVidia Shields (they replaced smart TVs that went dumb)
4. RING doorbell and cameras
5. WiFi connected home lighting
6. WiFi connected garage door opener with camera <- Nice to have in case I forgot to close the garage door, lol.
7. More tablets because children, lol
8. WiFi connected soundbar with Alexa built-in
EDIT: 9. Nest thermostat

Beck Bennett is in this? I miss that guy on SNL, he was great!

I love being able to preheat the oven while I'm at the store getting the kids their corn dogs or whatever. My fridge has wifi but I never even bothered to set it up. The advantium microwave oven is set up but I've never used it. They should add a reset feature to the apps though because sometimes the microwave gets itself in a bizarre state and needs a reboot.
Yeah, agreed on the microwave on both points. Just use it for making popcorn or warming food up so I'm right there anyways. Also, cramming more tech in it probably causes issues I'm sure. My previous 22 year old GE Profile microwave was fine till it had mechanical issues so ended up replacing it.
-
Went high tech with new kitchen appliances as our new GE Profile microwave and range oven are App and WiFi connected. Don't see need for it with the microwave but being able to preheat my oven without having to get up from my desk or couch is convenient feature.

The way they are casting it might as well be Michael Shannon as Kurgan, lol.
