  1. for those that are getting a customs charge from fedex, can you do a scan or pic of your commercial invoice? Since Nippon-yasan only started doing Fedex recently, perhaps they are putting in a different HST code than what HLJ normally puts. Maybe that N_Y is putting a HST code for Collectible/antique which I think will get a customs charge. Also is the shipping address a home or Business?

  2. Where did you get that info? I need to ask Master Made to confirm this info. Some how i didn't pick this info up.

Probably from chimungmungs website , they listed "First Edition include VF-1J & VF-1s Mini figure "

So Everyone would just assume only the first edition gets the mini valks.

  3. Yeah. Specifically the Customs duty and Advancement Fee is what they're charging me for.

Doesn't the exuberant fee I paid for shipping and handling of said item cover this? I dunno.

Shipping fee is only shipping fee. The clearing of the item is by an customs broker,.. But either way you should not be charge a customs fee for toys coming into the USA.

It's best you give Fedex a call, they do mess up too.

    Also this is from HLJ

"To USA Customers: Please note that there are no taxes, duties or tariffs on the import of hobby products or toys into the United States. You will not pay any extra to buy from us.

If shipped by FedEx, you may be required by Customs to submit a free TSCA form for some ink-related items, however. Please see THIS PAGE for more details. "

CUSTOMERS IN THE USA: Please be aware that the US Customs Office may require a TSCA form or other documentation from you for shipments including ink or some non-toxic paints (such as Gundam Markers). Customs will supply the documents and instructions on how to fill them out, and there is no charge.

So if you have no ink related stuff in your package, you should not have to do anything extra or pay anything extra.

  4. Just got the same notification, the note says "Shipment requires a Commerical Invoice".

    https://smallbusiness.fedex.com/international/documents/tips

I hope this gets sorted out quickly, I am off from work tomorrow and it would be great to have it delivered then.

maybe their Invoice came out of the purple pouch and the scans of the original invoice wasn't processed yet so whoever is clearing it, was not able to search for it digitally.

The commercial invoice HLJ provides is very generalize, It's not the in the standard fedex format, and it doesn't even have "Commercial Invoice" at the top of the page for stupid people to read. but should be good enough to clear any toys.

They have Descriptions (pretty much everything is reduced- scale toys), country of origins, HST codes, quanity, and total price of item and shipping, and the signature.

  5. I keep checking my Fed Ex shipping status every twenty minutes...

YES! Hitting Anchorage instead of LA. I might just have this thing by Tuesday.

Mine is Currently in anchorage Alaska........

darn you fedex and your roundabout ways.

Though this might have to do with those two hurricanes in the pacific most likely.

Actually Anchorage is a main/ midway stop for Fedex Flights from Japan. So it's pretty normal for it to stop there. no worries
