Just when I've decided to sell my VF-25S. Figures.

I didn't want this one at first, but the more I see it the more I think it may be fun. Guess I'll be hitting the usual sites when it comes out.

VF-19 Kai so that I can annoy the neighbors.

My Billy is an older version with wood framed doors. I have glass shelves in it. The depth isn't much of an issue for figures and most valks (YF-21 fits). The beech color is very hard to photograph. It messes with AWB and doesn't always come out well even using custom WB. The Billy does have to be attached to the wall when sitting on carpet since the doors make it front heavy. It is the only cabinet / bookcase I've ever had that I have to anchor to a wall. One advantage of something like a Billy is that the sides and back block light which means that you have more options when trying to avoid the sunlight from a window.

Everyone start panic buying!!! The Stockholm is interesting, but you will have to arrange around the door frames that block the middle. I have a Billy similar to the following except it has clear doors and glass shelves. I have to leave a space in the middle of each shelf otherwise you can't see what's there. The Billy is fugly, but it has served me well as my collection has constantly changed over the past 10 years or so. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S49001239/ I also have a Detolf. I really like the style and love the price, but find it limiting due to the small footprint, short height and fixed shelves. I'd like to see something like the Stockholm with thin metal framed door and with the height and versatility of the Billy and in black.

Mine arrived today. Really nice colors. The head is much nicer than than the Alto. This incarnation really brings out the beauty of the 29 design. Joints are really tight - for now at least. No stress marks.

EMS is going so slowly. Went to customs in LA instead of SFO. SFO customs usually takes a day at most. LA took 3.

I got a shipping notice from NY an hour ago that includes the tracking number. It hasn't shown up in the postal system yet, but that's the norm. Hopefully I'll have it by the end of next week.

The naked VF-25 is one of my favorites to transform. The Alto YF-29 not so much - too many pointy bits and the head doesn't work as smoothly. My favorites to transform are the VF-1 and VF-11. Least favorite is the VF-171. Still no shipping notice from NY.

EMS. I almost went FedEx this time. I wonder it that would have made a difference. That is really bad. They said they'd cancel in the delay email so they should honor that. They should have waited on sending the delay email If they had expected this clear up in a week's time. I'm glad that this is the last big Macross product I want until maybe the VF-0D. I'll just get that one from HLJ since it seems like they ship fairly quickly now. They used to be SOOO SLOOOW. But that was a few years ago.

Still waiting on mine to ship from NY.
