I wonder what Hasbro has in store for the $79.99US pricepoint. -

There's ball joints on the top of Barricade's shoulders, suggesting the car halve panels on top fold down so he doesn't have long-ass arms. -

Painted and transformed movie toys of Brawl, Barricade and Bumblebee pics have popped up on ebay. Link via 2005 Be aware they look a little mistransformed. And they also look rather different from the movie CGI we've seen. -

That Stryker (white 8 wheel vehicle) is not Bonecrusher. Its probably an off-screen character Hasbro made to fill out the assortments. -

Lack of poses is probably due to the fact its a resin proto. That's why it has those bendy arm display stands to hold it up. TFs usually aren't allowed to go into production unless they can stand on their own, so hopefully he has more stable feet than MP Prime and has nice, strong ratcheting joints in his arms to hold up that huge canon -

Fast Gunner is the Crazy Japanese Name for Cybertron Defense Red Alert. Yeah, they're all generally better than the original smaller versions. Good if you like military vehicles. Probably cost reasons and/or aesthetics. Either they wanted the wings up to make the toy look different from the rest of the cast (likely) or they didn't want some large hinges (unlikely). -

Most TFs tend to be back-heavy nowadays, which is why most designs have heel-spur feet. I think your Fast Gunner is borked He shouldn't be so loose that he can fall over from the weight of the missile. Mine was one of the more stable large Cyb/GF figures. -

No, they shouldn't, but it depends on what you mean by loose. And you actually went to the trouble of getting a GF Fast Gunner almost a year after release? You should have saved yourself some money and bought one of the many CD Red Alerts clogging shelves at Target and Kmart currently on sale prices. Proof? Source? -

Takara is just winging it now. I mean that chick has a sick bag. And its supposed to be sexy (for some people). And she's underage. Hooray for Japan! -

As I recall he was intended to be a cheap repaint/case filler for a couple of Alternator waves. He included the firebird sticker that came with the blue Binaltech Tracks. He is presumebly very expensive because alot of people collect things that are rare. He would be hated if he was manufactured in mass quantities -

Problem with that is its also Prime's motto, and was bound to be in the film regardless. All that contest shows is that many of the people who entered are woefully unimaginative, or painfully unfunny. Its an in-joke in both the original japanese episode and the US dub that nobody believes that he is a fire truck. When Prime chastises Scattorshot for choosing an inconspicuous half-track as a vehicle mode, Scattorshot mocks Prime's choice of being a fire truck with giant cannons sure blending in well with the environment. Prime respond that firetrucks are bigger before quickly driving off. -

JBO: I presume that the 2005 members who helped Sony suggested including Scramble City and the project budget could only afford the video, but not the audio and the accompanying residuals for all the japanese actors. kensei: What's wrong with it? I got Classics SS and Cybertron Smokescreen today. Some red paint got on Smokescreen's visor, so I hacked it off. Looks better now, since Smokes isn't supposed to be visored -

Sony BGM could not get the rights to the audio (presumebly because of all the japanese actors involved). Nor was it practical to get (as some fans suggested) the surviving US voice actors to dub it. And since the special guests on the other DVD commentaries who worked on the movie, but had nothing to do with this episode, they would have nothing to say on any commentary for it. So rather than have a completely silent episode of TF, they have two fans explain it. Why do you quote "fans" as if they're two random Sony guys paid to pretend to be fans? From what I recall, they're guys from 2005, the TF board who participated with to Sony produce this DVD. -
Kotobukiya 1/72 ZOIDS Shield Liger
Fit For Natalie replied to drifand's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
You know, back in 2002, I was expressing the desire for full-size (not just Blox), fully articulated Zoids, either in figure or model kit form, with similar or better detail to the normal motorised kits. Its taken 4 years to see my dream come true... and a completely different company to release it. Sad. -

Yeah, grey and green. I believe most of the colours in TF were alternate colourschemes of the Diaclone and Microman toys, and some created by Hasbro themselves (Like Sunstreaker). -

Well, the white colour scheme was the original Diaclone colours, and were the basis of the colours of the Japanese G1 version. Hasbro's colour G1 toy colour scheme was a combination of that and what became the cartoon colouration. An 'Anime' colour scheme was never released in the original toy run. I believe Hasbro went with this colour scheme as a nod to the fans who would recognise the japanese colour scheme. Plus, it leaves them the option of repainting Astrotrain in G1 cartoon colours later, possibly for the 2008 Transformers Heroes series. -

I'm just saying what I read. Go find the article, it one of the ones that followed the Holloman AFB articles, as I recall. I don't remember the guy saying if it was the debut of the actual F-22. I have noticed that TF is using a unusually large amount of actual military equipment given most visual effects heavy movies prefer to go the easier route of making nearly all their flying vehicles CGI. -

As I recall from that airforce news article, the pentagon said that this is the movie debut of the F-22 Raptor, I presume it would have also been the movie debut of the YF-22 if it was in there. -

You should see how many of the TF bandwagon jumpers that haved popped up since late 2004 go around INSISTING that the original G1 toys were much larger and cooler, and the reissues are just shrunken cheapo copies.
