  1. Everybody, Anybody,

I recently purchase an Orguss Olson 1/40 (Rare Green Version) from a straightshooter her at MW.

What I really need are the complete right arm, cockpit windshield, control stick, wings, pilot...or let me know what you got. It does not matter if it is from the 1/40 Orguss Orguroid.

Let's make a deal, any deal. You got what I want, I got what you need ($$$). :D

    NB4M

    Oh yeah, I almost forgot....THANKS GREG!!! ;)

  2. With regards to the two seater VT-1 and VE-1 versions...

The shape of the VT-1 and VE-1 quite a task and a complete restyle and redesign of the chest, canopy & hinge, cockpit, chesplate, heatshield, backplate, backplate hinge door, back pack...this is only the beginning.

    See what I mean.

Amongst all the aforementioned, let's not forget the the stuff that has already been listed above.

Whoever takes on this task, my hats of to you. Best of luck...this will be a great adventure to take on.

...Plus why not include a Misa in her uniform and Minmei in the red flight suit. Either of the two could be used in the backseat. It just depends on the what part of the movie you want your 1/48 to be in. ;)

  3. I would definitely go for the all the 1/48 two seaters and a 1/48 hi-detail kit.

The thing about the 1/48 Hi Detail, I would much rather prefer this to be transformable with pieces that would be compatible for the two seater 1/48(s) as well.

  4. While yellowing is a deading factor, it I hope this never applies to mine. The valks I own have never seen sunlight.

I actually have a special room in my home designated "The Nightmare Room"...my most prized possesions and objects are contained within. All the windows are completely covered and it is trully lined wall to wall with various collectible items. My wife and I are not in-house smokers, and are very serious and careful of what we do around our collection. Not to mention, how well fortified the room is from most elements.

    Still...Viva 1/55!!!

  5. Ahh...sweet 1/55(s)!!!

I have all the re-issues, and have just begun to customize an old 1/100 VF-1J (to VF-1D) bootleg because of this. I will begin with this 1/100 and move on to the 1/55s...I know there will never be re-issues of certain valks (like: Strike, Ostrich, Elintseeker) but at least I can make all the ones I never had as kid.

I have purchased several duplicates of the 1/55s and have a few original Taka and some bootlegs

    Purchased Reissues:

    4 x Super VF-1S

    6 x VF-1A Hikaru

    1 x Max

    1 x Millia

    1 x Hikaru VF-1J

    1 x Foker VF-1S (Grey)

    2 x Brown Production Type

With this number of valks now I have most of what I have wanted and cherished as a kid (due to slight modification and exchange of parts) I now own:

    1. Hikaru - Super VF-1J

    2. Max - Super VF-1J

    3. Millia - Super VF-1J

    4. Roy - Super VF-1S (Grey)

    5. Max - VF-1A

    6. Hikaru - VF-1A

    7. Roy - VF-1A

    8. Kakikazi - VF-1A

    9. Max - VF-1S

    10. Hikaru - Strike VF-1S (Original Bandai Armor)

    11. Roy - VF-1S

    12. Kakikazi - VF-1S

    13. Brown - VF-1A

    14. Brown - VF-1A

    15. Two Extra VF-1A(s) will be customized into Elint and Ostrich.

The feel of the 1/55 is like no other...I have 1/48s but still, to me nothing else seems to come close.

While the 1/48 is the closest to anime line art...the 1/55 is chunky but seems to me as more plausible and more military, agressive, and realistic in its block form.

Don't take this as a haters move on the 1/48, I like those, but my heart will always belong to the 1/55.

    LONG LIVE 1/55!!!

  6. Well what you could try is doing a custom on a smaller version of the VF with less parts...

I recently converted a Bootleg 1/100 from a VF-1J to a VF-1D. Mostly using the main components of the Bootleg and the head from a Bandai VF-1D Super Strike Kit. I know this goes a little further becaus of the kitbashing but the same principle of simplicity apply.

If you first try with something small then you can more or less have a feel of what to expect when custom painting 1/48 VF.

    Hope this helps. ;)

Edit: Sorry, I should have read your first entry more clearly instead of just typing...sorry. ;)

  7. Well, it seems he is only using it as the base to befin making his custom. You can see he is adding material to the parts to make them actually fit.

By the way did you happen to check out his "How To" Section and his VF-1A M&M(s) they're pretty cool. (Max looks a bit metallic, not really to my liking, but to each his own). Still great work.

    NB4M :)

  8. I know cost is a factor, but would anyone consider making recast resin parts of the entire FP set? One for Original Taka and the other for Bandai re-issues?

The FP of Taka fit a little loose on the Re-issues, and the arm armor are different, thus two casts.

    Anyone? ;)

  9. Sorry, but it isn't. I just found the site....I have recenlty began modeling. Purchased a gundam gb-02 1/60, finished the paint, I just need to complete the weathing and details...I figured on starting with a gundam rather than a VF.

The gundam offers a lot of room for error and I can learn a lot from what I have done so far. Not to mention, the vast knowledge I have gained from all the member posts. This is only the beginning.

    Thanks, for the welcome! :)

  10. Helllo All,

I am new to this forum. I have been observing and reading the posts of many MW members...man do you guys know your macross of what!?! ;)

Well here is a link that might spark your interests...especially for the bored-out-of-thier-mind members who have nothing to do all day but mash valkyries together until they form something.

    Enjoy! :)
