  1. We'll pay!!! We surely will! I think the problem is that with the existing moulds/sculpts they could just do more variants (5 SDFM/6 DYRL/ 1 Low Viz = 12) compared to 3 VT/VE/1D in both colours (6) - they require almost all new moulds/sculpts. I just wonder where they left the 1/48 brownie - I am missing that one in my shelve.... ...did Yamato not release the Cannon Fodder yet??? Maybe they were just checking how many they could sell of the 2-seater (compared with VF-1 selling figures) and then decide if or if not they go for it! I really can hardly wait!
  2. Working for a Plastic Toy Company I can assure you that the material (Plastic, no matter of ABS, PVC or any other) is not the expensive part here! The most expensive part of doing such toys is creating the mould where the parts are injection moulded! These things are made out of metall, are very heavy, have (occassionally) water cooling and cost up to a few 100K per pc! Depending on the size of it.- the bigger the more expensive. And that is for every single piece like a hand, a wheel or an antenna! Now you would think doing a lot of smaller parts comes cheaper!? No matter if you do smaller parts, cost will not go down - you need more moulds!!! And more assembly = more humans = more costs! However I think Yamato made quite a fortune with the old moulds as the only changes they had where the paint jobs and the heads! So they where up-using there molds to get quantity, sales and in the end revenue! PS: If you want to know more about how plastics get in their form PM me!
  3. The 1/60s were not fully transformable without detaching parts? The only 1/60 I have is the Rau.......and that cannot really be compared to a Valk! I just love the way 1/48s are made and to me quality is not at all poor. Looking great, transforming well - just my precious little VFs! To be honest I was a little (negative) surprised that the VF-0 hat detachable parts. I really thougth all Yammies were transformable in one piece. That of course is getting worse then.......
  4. 2nd ones best, way best! I'll take one - exactly like it is! Don't you dare to change color or style! You think these will be buyable someday?
  5. Great Work! Thumbs Up! 5? FIVE? Arh, how heavy are these things? Guys - you need to finish your work, everything until the finish. Maybe you can really show it at the Con. Doesn't anybody have officials contacts???
  6. Hi guys, I am working for a Toy-Company in Germany acting World-Wide, also US. I thought I could get more value to this discussion! Off course Yamato (and other Toy manufacturers) are not making their price by questioning the net, they are calculating production-, material- and developing costs (and lot others) into the price. Then they add their expected (standard) margine per product theme (eg. 50% on VF's or 75% Statutes). Nevertheless they are also watching forums like these (and others) to get an idea what the max. price could be (talking about price structures on the market/also dependend on the size of the box!). We are doing this too - we even check e-bay constantly! Other toy companies are doing the same - promised! So both parties are somehow right! The basic price (as sold in Japan) will always be on normal level, but all other prices (wholesellers, toy-shops outside Japan) will get the recommended retail price plus the value they can add out of surveys or the net itself. I would also recommend not to post any prices so Yamato/Wholesellers do not have the advantage to know "how far they can go"!
  7. NÜRNBERG - Welcome! How much near the Dutch Border?? Don't worry MM79 - Just been curios to get on the page! I also think the Asians aren't too much into English Forums as they do not expect anything from there - unlikely us who are always trying to get things from Japan.
  8. Yep, thanx. And off I go.....

    My Q-rau exploded

@sundamgai That hurts like hell! my regrets. Normally there is a POD (prood of delivery) when you receive the parcel. also they normally ask your signature and a statement if the parcel was OK or not. At least you should talk to the driver that there is a damage and note that on the official bills! Did you do that? That should give you more backup from the law side....... Any POD with a statement like "parcel damaged" or "parcel repacked"? @all others With the POD you normally do not have any problems - it is a written proof under the eyes of the driver. Always check your parcel before you sign something. If the box is original, sealing tape is original and there are no damages to be seen the inside is OK 99,9%! I always ask the driver to wait until I think everything is OK. Hope I could help. Oh, I almost forgott: NEVER SEND THROUGH CHRONOPOST! edit: Another way is to refuse the parcel - then it goes back to the sender! Question is how you get your money back from there.......but at least no CHRONOPOST!

  11. Factory VF-1S? What's that? I own the VF-1J Hikaru Super Valkyrie (not the VF-1S) and would like to "upgrade" it with the cannon to have the Strike Valkyrie! The Beam cannon comes in the extra Armour.
