Update it is 4:16 PM and nada. I heard UPS delivers up to 7pm. Normal deliveries don't come that late but they have 3 more hours.

I have a friend who used to work there and he said the drivers are not allowed to come back to the station till they make an attempt at every parcel.

Usualy drivers get back at 6ish, but they are days when they get back pretty late.

Just the other week I was out at about 9 pm and saw our local driver still out delivering.

Wait UPS calls you now? That's new too me. I should got mine on Tuesday. It's a day behind now. Snowed around here too. That's no excuse when I can make it to work and the post office delivers too.

Yeah I too got the call from UPS on Sunday, it was an automated call that told me the delivery was going to be the next day and it even gave me the tracking number.

I used to get a lot of Transformers from HLJ.

I have placed large & small orders using HLJ for the past 6 years and have never had a problem.

EMS shipping is of course quick, but I usually go for the slower SAL shipping to save $$.

SAL usually takes about 4 weeks, but has always gotten to me without any problems.

Had a great transaction with "sharpnel" this morning.

He even met me in the morning so I could save on shipping.

Huh, that's weird. Graham's review in the Yamato Toys section from the main page says that they fixed that nose cone problem when they released the Max 1A. I was under the impression that there's only been one release, which is why Max usually sells for a bit more than the others in the DYRL line. But then I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, so I could be way off.

The only evidence I can provide is really Neova's comments in the links I provided above.

I figure he knows more then I cause he sells the stuff.

On his "for Sale" post it says,

"These are the last issues (2nd series), not a new 3rd issue and MIB from Yamato."

Plus his web site and the title of the selling thread here at MW states 2nd issue.

I just assume he would know as he orders & sells the stuff.

I FINALLY managed to reverse the hold for the Bryan's payment from those BASTARDS at paypal. However the dumbf*cks returned the monies to him and not me!  DAMN those stupid son of a b*tches! 

Follow up, when I called the reps were totally unhelpful and unsympathic to the fact the funds were held needlessly for so long! Paypal does NOT know anything about customer service! Furthermore, the source of the problem all along was Bryan's funding in his account, but again instead of refunding to me the funds they argued with me why it was justifed to send it back to him. Absolutely no remorse, so much as an apology for the inconvenience and grief they've caused.

Bryan I need you to return the monies to me ASAP!

It seems like a good deal for loose valks, maybe too good. With his lack of communication with FM about funds owed, and seemingly liqudating his collection...well it makes me a little nervous.

I had a good experience with the stand trade.

I dunno...the lack of a paypal buyers protection(such as it is) may keep prices down.

Nah I have faith in Bryan and his auctions.

I don't know what the deal with his lost communication with FM.

However he has a lot of pride in his perfect feedback on e-bay.

I don't think he would jepordize that perfect feedback that he worked hard for.

If not just win an auctiion, then he'll have to have contact with you or face a negative.

I wonder why he went straight to e-bay to sell his Macross collection without first comming here to MW.

A lot of guys here would have bought his stuff and it would have saved him E-bay fees.

Well I'm pretty sure.

I bought the Max 1A when it first came out, and that one DOES HAVE the nose cone problem like all the other early 1st issues (Hikaru, Roy).

Then back in January 2005, Neova had the 2nd issues for sale here at $90 a pop!

I bought the 2nd issue from him and when I recieved it, it did not have the nose cone problem. The grooves were there to hold the nose cone in place just like the other 2nd reissues (Hikaru & Roy).

He lists the VF-1A Max as a reissue at his store here (although it is stated as "sold out)

They reissued it once already, and so far no official word if they will reissue it a 3rd time.

As many toys that I have, and as much as I like them all, I don't think I would be thinking about ANY of my toys in that kind of situation.

My wife and my 1 year old son would be all that matters to me in that situation.

The toys can be replaced eventually.

I'm guessing it's not the same one he got from FM.

I think FM stated that his was MIB, and the one on auction has been transformed with some decals applied.

So after reading the auction I'm guesing they are not the same Valk.
