  1. Oh yeah, there's definitely plenty of anime magic going on there with that little jeep! I completely understand your reasoning. Like I said, that was just my $.02 worth of impressions from the pics you posted. The new pics you've got definitely look better. It may be the translucent material of the masters that is causing the impression for me as well.

These are all looking great and I'm just spouting off hoping to give constructive ideas that may help you. I appreciate that you are receptive to our ideas and I do trust your production/creative skills. I'll certainly be looking forward to more pics and to when these are ready for our consumption! :p

Keep up the great work! I'll be watching and waiting!

  2. Hey! Stuff is looking good! The scale seems right and from what I can see the details look very nice too. I assume they both will come with steering wheels as well?

I gotta say though that the wheels and tanks(balls behind the front seats) on the XM3002 look too small to me in both scales. I know there may be some anime magic to deal with when translating the drawings, but if you could get those beefed up just a little I think they would really stand out and look perfect. The tanks seem only slightly undersized and may just be the way they look in the photos. But the wheels especially look like they are a little lost under the chassis and are not giving enough lift to it. They just don't look like they are made for rough terrain as I picture this vehicle being used for.

Just my two cents and friendly observation of course! :)

All in all these are looking great! I'll be glad to pick up a set when you get them into production. Keep up the great work!

  3. Your work continues to amaze! You have definitely reached the level of Master Macross Modeler!

It's a pleasure to watch your process and to see your finished works of art. Thanks for taking us all along on the ride with you!

  4. So, this future seal stuff. I assume it can be found at your local hardware store?

Does it make your paint run?

I had a sealant that use to do that. Maybe I didn't put on a thick enough coat of paint or something.

Future is now sold as *Pledge "with Future shine"* It should be in hardware stores, but also definitely in stores like Wal-Mart, Target and some grocery stores too. It'll be in the aisle with the floor care stuff. You know, mops, brooms, etc. It's great stuff and easy to use. I can't believe no one's put up the Swanny's models link about Future. Use it, love it, live it...Future :D

  5. Ugh! $35 for a small 1/72 scale kit! I'll probably have to wait if I see it on a good sale. :(

Hasegawa, Trumpeter, Tamiya and some others' prices seem to be through the roof. Sometimes I just can't bring myself to pay the prices for the new kits that are coming out. Especially with Revell re-releasing so many decent kits at quite reasonable prices. I know they are older and not state-of-the-art but they are usually just fine for me. Then again, if it's something I really want, I'll go ahead and splurge! :p

  6. ...ITs a great little model with some issues which make you scratch your head. Probably one of the most detailed bomb bays I've ever seen.... filled with detailess bombs and right beside wheel bays devoid of ANY detail whatsoever. Its got great detail all over though. IF they release a A or C version I'll buy one immediately.

Those little issues are a bummer, but it still sounds like I will be keeping an eye out for one of these at the LHS. Thanks for the info and good luck with the Canberra!
