1. How is the VF-0 a redesign of the VF-1? Doesn't the Macross Zero era take place prior to the "original" series? I know that SK doesn't want the different series of Macross to be extremely related to each other, but if M0 is the starting point, how can you  update a design that does not yet exist?

375290

the vf1 was made, but the nuclear engines where not ready. Hence the vf0 was made to do practicle test runs of the essential designs. Hence it was designed after.

2. That's exactly why he should be on the black list. If he is going to enter a deal with someone else, that person should know if he's had any bad dealings that would preclude him from completing the deal. If I were to sell to UN Spacy, I'd like to know if he'd backed out of any deals. It's quite obvious that he's agreed to purchase the item. Legal contract? Gimme a break. Our PMs are really the best and almost only form of communication on here. If we can't back that, then we've got nothing here. There's really no way to make a verbal contract on here. And you wanna go through the hassle of drawing up a sales purchase agreement? Ebay has negative and positive feedback. Clearly, this is a case where he deserves negative feedback. Being on the blacklist doesn't mean you are blacklisted from anything. But it just shows that you have a blemish on your record. He's admitted that he backed out, so that to me shows he's already wronged someone on the board. And not only that, he didn't even have the decency to tell the seller that he didn't want it anymore. Was UNSpacy just thinking if he ignored the seller long enough, the seller would get the hint? To me, it's not so much that he backed out of the deal that makes me think that he should go on the blacklist because the seller wants it. It's because he held out, while freely playing around on the board. He purposely ignored the seller, and that to me, shows a lack of character.  So Alisama, if you don't add it this time, how many times would UNSPacy have to back out of a purchase before he gets blacklisted? And how would you know? If he were to back out of a deal with 5 different people, there's no way to track that. Do you want to create a greylist where people aren't on the blacklist, but they have actions that might in the future, when compounded, would ultimately result in them being added to the blacklist? Is this something we should take a poll on? Whether someone's actions are worthy of putting them on the blacklist? Surely, this seller feels that he was wronged enough for him to warrant the buyer being put on the blacklist, and he provided verified as well as legitimate reasons for wanting to add him to the list. That should be enough to put him on the blacklist. UNSpacy could just nominate FM for the sellers blacklist for not being understanding of his lying predicament. When I see the things he's looking to buy in the sales forum, I don't see someone who's unable to afford the item he agreed to purchase from FM. So perhaps, I am biased, in that sense. But seriously, UNSpacy could just nominate FM for the blacklist for not waiting long enough, thus making him a poor seller. Retaliatory feedbacks occur on ebay everyday. But the purpose of the blacklist is to give people information regarding poor performance in a transaction. It should be there, so that the people who engage in transactions with others such as UNSpacy have all the information to proceed in their transactions, and they can make their own conclusions based on that. I'm sure that if UNSpacy has plenty of positive feedbacks on the straightshooters list, people will be willing to overlook it. But Just because they are willing to overlook it doesn't mean it shouldn't be there for them to see. Let the people be the judges. If Alisama wishes to overlook it, that is his prerogative. But that doesn't mean that other people should be forced to overlook it.

nintendo backed out of the sony snes cd update which became the psx in the last minute. Did anyone blacklist them?

374502

What did you not understand about the end of discussion? But see, I didn't know that nintendo backed out. But when I do a deal with nintendo, I'd definitely like to have known that they backed out. Were there a blacklist forum for businesses to business, sure...I'd like for Sony to have blacklisted them for it. But it's not your place to blacklist nintendo. It's sony's and the shareholders of sony, so unless you're a shareholder, the point is moot.

374516

so. in your opinion. 1 istake and your gone. so 100% right or no a+.

who said the discussion is ending. there is no flaming. it will go on as long as i want to discuss it. Itg is on topic and proper for the forum. the gy has had a few dozen or so good transactions. even ebay is not this bad. Personly and i am not alone in this, will not deal with fortress aximus for doing this. He may not be on th eblack list but when peopel refuse to trade, sell or buy from him for this. he will hurt much more then the 10 days he had waited. enjoy.

nintendo backed out of the sony snes cd update which became the psx in the last minute. Did anyone blacklist them?

4. unless he had a legal contract, he can back out of a eal at any time. thoes things are rare. I'd have gotten it on a credit card if I di dno thave one already. just to have one.

A legal contract? Seriously Ali??? I gotta disagree big time unless you're considering a PM a legal contract. If someone PMs me and says "I'm going to buy that off you for $X but I need two weeks" and then doesn't send me money in two weeks than that guy needs to get blacklisted. Add to that additional stringing along while clearly still active on the website even when the seller is trying to accomodate you in every way? I don't see how UN Spacy has much of a leg to stand on here.

Clearly I'm just going off FM's depiction of what's happening. I don't doubt that UN has purchased from others and not played games with them. I would also agree that maybe we should have separate buyer/seller blacklists. It'd be unfortunate if UN Spacy couldn't sell a good in the future because of this (likely extremely rare) lapse in buying edicate.

373851

yes. I amvery serios. He told him. the seller lost nothing but 10 days. Unless his sale was life and death. what did he loose?

bad buy is when you hurt the seller same with the other way around. the list is for peopel who rip others off. Not for deals that did not bear fruite. if he consistnatly does this over and over. then you have a case. if you add someone for this reason and on a 1 case basis. Then the list becomes useless.

did he rip anyone off? no,. Did he do it consistrnatly over aperiod of time. No. shoudl he be on the black list. NO.

5. Unfortunately a request to add MW user UN Spacy.

Contacted me on 2/1/06 informing me he wanted two items, then 2/2 changed it to one item, item is then held for him. He requested to meet in person, gave him options on dates and times, even rescheduled at his request, but ... followed by dead silence. <_< Time passes despite multiple requests from me for an update; never mind the fact during this entire time he is regularly posting on MW but ignoring the pms.

When I finally do hear from him on 2/17, he backs out, "Terribly sorry for the late reply. The DYRL poster is very tempting but I'm gonna have to pass because I have to save up funds for the VF-0S. It's gonna put a major dent in my wallet for the next couple of months."

372886

Did you REALLY have to add me to the Blacklist?

I've been a part of Macrossworld since the old boards and NEVER had a single problem with another seller. At least I was being honest with you, sorry that you couldn't wait a few more days for a reply.

373634

You have admitted that you were in the wrong, so there's no disputing this. He has every right to add you to the blacklist. You may have been honest, but you certainly weren't upfront if you were on the boards posting away while not replying to his repeated requests from you. Oh, and as far as honesty goes...hmm it didn't look like it would have stopped you from buying that Matchbox SDF1 if you could have.

373656

6. Guys, I've just created a MW Events page on the main site, which is replacing the old page that had Noel's Wonder Fest reports (mostly broken links now).

This new page will be a place where all convention and hobby show reports will be placed to make them easy to find.

This is still very much a work in progress and I need your guys help to point me to links where I can find  all the missing convention and hobby show reports or photos to link to the events page.

Also, if you guys have photos you want to submit, PM me and I'll give you an email address where you can send them.

This page will need your submissions to grow.

Also, would any of you artistic types like to have a go at creating a banner for the top of the page, as it looks a little bare now.

Thanks,

Graham

8. I normally work weekends, so can never do anything like this.  This month though, I have the 18th and 19th off, and was wondering if anyone would like to get together, have some beer and pizza, and watch some Macross related stuff on a 5ft by 5ft screen at my house in Federal Way.  I also have some PSX and PS2 Macross games, plus a nifty Macross/Mospeada model collection to check out.

If you are interested, please let me know.  If you have anything obscure related to Macross, you can bring it.  I'd love to see that knock off Macross anime (I can't remember the name).

???????

9. I got one for you, if I gave you an MPC box that I wanted to make into a VF-1D MPC, do you think you could do that? :)  Somehow you'd have to remove the Ben Dixon on the box and replace it with Minmay and change the volume number to 7.

review of comic is up here.

I quote.

The art, however, is where the book really shines. The mecha designs hold true to their TV show roots and the issue is full of exciting (if brief) aerial dogfighting. The lush colors are definitely the stand-out of this series, adding to the anime feel of the art. It is to the colorist’s credit that the change in pencillers halfway through the book is almost imperceptible. The only major flaws in the art are a few minor instances where the characters act a little too much like cartoons, with emotive sweat drops hovering near their heads.
13. Hey now, there were 3 chicks there last year!.  Let's see, we had D's GF, Hurin's GF, and Mari.  So, not a TOTAL sausage fest.
