  1. Are they saving the jokes for the movie or what? The only thing humorous besides the marionettes moving in their standard puppet manner has been that bit with Kim Jong Il barely being able to speak. I certainly hope there is more to it than that, but the trailers aren't showing it.
  2. Its probably just the first visibly damaging effects of global warming to strike the United States. Unfortunately, violent weather patterns will only increase.
  3. Mospeada was alright, but I had more problems with it than say Macross when it came to some of the story elements. Mecha and aliens aside, the biggest problem of Mospeada for me was the ability of the group of heroes to escape any danger despite being a very small group. With Macross and other sci-fi anime of the early 80s, there were tertiary/cannon fodder characters that would die in each episode that made lack of injury and death on the part of the main character less glaring. In Mospeada there was very little of that and so each main character became a bit more unbelievable than in other shows in the same genre. Inbit would be firing from all directions and not a scratch on the main characters who would many times be fighting without the assistance of mecha. Towards the end when the humanoid Inbit came around it got even more unbelievable. Especially the episode (can't remember the number) where all the main characters were simply out in the snow without any mecha facing down attacks from Gurabs and even a Gosu and they all survived. It made the Inbit look as bad as Transformers, G.I. Joes, or Stormtroopers in terms of aiming accuracy. I also never particularly understood why the Inbit would bother sticking around anywhere in a physical form when its apparent that they could turn into some type of invincible energy whenever they wanted to. They didn't even have to leave Earth at the end. Coulda just zapped the invasion fleet like they already did and then come right back.
  4. From what I understand, these are more likely end of line Energon products. There are a couple of upcoming combiner teams in Energon, plus Grimlock and Swoop. Which is what popular speculation is betting on.
  5. Don't forget the computer required to upload the image to the internet and the cost of the internet connection.
  6. The site below states that a 1/35 Legioss is 9" tall. http://users.ev1.net/~superjaw/alphag-f.html This next link is a comparison page of the various Legioss toys. It shows a 1/55 scale Legioss as being basically half the size of a 1/35 model. So I suspect 5 inches or 5 and a half inches in height at most for the MPC version. Fairly tiny. http://www.menet.umn.edu/~ngo/gsamson_legioss.html
  7. Does Toynami have any intention of making enemy mecha like the New Generation/Mospeada Gosu/Gorse? That would be incredible if they did. I've noticed they've yet to produce any Zentradi mechs from the Macross saga, so I'm not holding out much hope for bad guy toys from them.
  8. Enemy mecha would be so very, very nice. Valkyries are great and all, but it seems that all classic mecha toy licenses, no matter which company, goes for the meat of the line and forgets the rest. Glaug, Regult, N-Ger, and the variations on these would definitely get my money before more VF-1s. I'm already loving the first Q-Rau toy ever made (it is, isn't it?). The green TV varient is still one of my most dreamed of anime mecha turned plastic toy wishes. Destroids of course would be extremely nice as well, but enemy mecha first!
  9. Man. That Legioss is sweet. Small, but sweet. When/if it drops to $40-50 is when I'll pick one up because a 6 inch tall toy is never worth $80.
  10. Add me to the list for one of each.
  11. Not much of a question, but I've had the Macross box sets from Animeigo for about a year now and just started watching them. This is the first time I've seen Macross for about six years, and I noticed that some scenes the animation is so choppy as to look like it came from a slide projector. Is it the DVDs or were parts of Macross actually that poorly animated? My memory on this aspect of the show is really bad, so I had to ask. I continually read about Animefriend being a bad studio, but it really takes the cake for poor animation in a few scenes.
  12. Whatever happened to the fan that posted those amazing Mospeada/Robotech:TNG 3D renders? Anybody have an archive or link to these images still?
  13. Pretty much all original trilogy Star Wars fighters like the Ties and the -Wings. Mospeada Legioss The R-9 from the video game R-Type http://www.classicgaming.com/shmups/review...rtypepiccie.gif The Cylon Raider http://www.spacemodelmania.com/models/ipms...ipms_Raider.jpg Buck Rogers Starfighter http://www.jump.net/~jayb/jpeg/starfighter4.jpg
  14. Ugliest? That has to be Beast Wars Transmetal Rhinox. Check below. I usually forgive G1 toy engineering due to age (though I really only care 84-86 era G1), but Armada and parts of BW (especially Transmetal 2s) have given us some mighty ugly toys in recent years.
