oh, they hold up just fine to posing, it's if you take the armor off and on frequently, and the peg that holds the thruster/saber thing on the backpack is prone to breakage.

As requested, here's shots from my lenses, all shots taken at 3'8" from subject, the vf-11 with spot metering and using the center focus point. ISO is at something ridiculous like 1250 as I didn't bother to check and shooting in aperture priority mode. I didn't bother to check for exposure, just think of it as a lesson on what high ISO and a wide open lens can do. Nikkor 12-24mm f/4 DX at 12mm f/4 f/5 f/11 24mm f/4 f/5 f/11

I agree, I'm not even that big of a Gundam fan (almost not at all) but I love those PG kits. They're difficult only in that there's lots of bits to cut and clean and paint but the instructions rocks, the parts fit well and if you go step by step they're easy builds. I do want to say though, the plastic they use gets brittle over time and the little pegs that hold the armor on the frame can break... I've had to retrofit my PG mkII with magnets and some metal bits to reinforce it.

Well, sure, if you're gonna define action as "80's action movie" then yeah, SGU doesn't live up... but if we're just going to count it as fighting, gunplay, physical danger, then SGU has a bunch.

I'm even going to say that the first 9 episodes of SGU beats the first 9 episodes of SG-1... not the pilot, SG-1 pilot was better but the regular shows, yes.

I grant you that it's not focused on the action like SG-1 was, but the action is there... I would say the amount of action sequences is easily comparable to the first 9 episodes of season 1 of SG-1.

writing function is to enable people of the earth to understand persons other than self in a non verbal manner using this format without using punctuation is rude to the person who is attempting to understand the expressed ideas of person who is the writing but is inefficient as the writing takes time to decipher leading the person who is reading to conclude that either the person who is writing is mentally challenged and incapable of producing a coherent thought or that the ideas contained within are not worth reading as the person who originated the ideas did not care enough for those that will come to read the ease of reading and comprehension refusing to format written message in easily comprehensible manner

I'm saying is the person of the earth who is reading the message is hard to understand when person who writes with no punctuation keeps spamming the board with mindless gibberish.

I like partsformers myself. having a baggie full of little bits and pieces makes me feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

I would definitely go for the 35mm f/1.8. it'll be great for taking shots of toys since it's very versatile and produces a very sharp image while having a very pleasing bokeh. It;s great for potraits and as an all around lens.

I think the SGU has as much action as the first few seasons of SG-1 did.. I really think some fans are giving a SGU an undeserved hard time.
