Well.. they probably figured, "If Bandai can get away with charging 14,000 yen for a Valk, then so can we!" just kidding, I don't know, but I would hazard a guess that it is a mix of several factors, along with market demand.

I missed the very brief period before Yamato's closure where Valks were much cheaper and easier to procure. It's what got me down this slippery slope anyway Should have picked up a few more Yammies while I was at it.

My personal take on this is that it was just a listing error, and that the stocks will still be coming soon.
I was really tempted to pick up a 5th VF-25F to display naked, since the Ozma version is not forthcoming. But had to restrain myself in view of budget constrains

I bought this game during the last Steam sale, and despite its relatively short length (finished it in about an hour), I found it very fun.

Pretty sure it originated as a doujin game, which is pretty impressive considering how pretty it can be. It's like what happens when Zone of the Enders becomes a shmup. Very fast paced, with lots of emphasis on lock-on shots, dashing around and slashing everything around you.

To me the battroid bracket is no different from the fast pack brackets on the v2 vf-1's. Those drive me totally nuts as they kill the fighter and gerwalk side profiles

Except for the VF-1 it is an add-on, which is forgiveable given that it was to hold the Fast Packs on the VF-1. Does it look realistic? Nope, but at least it was only used for the Fast Packs.

For the YF-30, it seemingly is integral to hold it in Battroid mode.. or at least prevent the wang from flopping down

hmm, face turned out pretty alright, despite the eye bags.. hope it looks better in hand though

Kinda seems like Bandai got lazy to me, and couldn't figure out the engineering. That said, I already have 2 on order, and each will permanently be in fighter, and battroid mode respectively.

as interesting as that looks, I can't really imagine the boosters will work much when in Battroid mode (tearing the wings off perhaps? hahaha)

Really bummed that this is a WF exclusive.. but I guess it's for the better. I wouldn't dare handle a GK.

Come to think of it, the Madox-1 does resemble the anime Starship Troopers powered suit. Except with wings and gatling guns, Perhaps a mod of the Revoltech or Sentinel x T-Rex releases would make for a good base for a Madox-1 Custom

I decided that 1 is enough for this piece. I still need to preserve shelf space for my 2 x YF-30s and hopefully 1 day, 3 x 25S. Then I think I'm done with the Frontier Valks.

Also would not be surprised at the inevitable super pack. I'm sure even if there wasn't one, Bandai would make one.
