Thanks! Glad to see another Orguss fan around here :-) I've had the original 1/40 Nikick and Orgroid since the 80s, and the rest were slowly added to the collection over the years, some by my brother through friends in Japan, some thru eBay (before it really became evilBay).
I find the designs for Orguss more interesting and refreshingly out-of-this-world than just about any other realistic mecha series. Best of all, the toys by Takatoku had a very balanced number of opposing mecha. In fact, the 'bad' Terrans had more walkers than the 'good' Emaan had flyers. I always wondered why TT never did the Zentraedi justice with DX'd toys.
Yeah..I LOVE the Orguss mechs and show (still haven't got around to picking it up on DVD though
). I had a small plastic KO version of the Nikick when I was growning up that I got from my Grandparents and not knowing what it was (all I knew it had a cool robot & ship mode). It was YEARS until I happened to stumble upon what that little toy I had was and where it was from. Then, during Ebay's early years, I happened to get a TOTAL MIB Nikick. The toy and box looked brand-spankin new! Then I tried to track down the 'Blue Head' Nikick which is just ni-impossible to find and for a decent price.-RF
I have 2 of the mass production 'Blue Head' Nikicks mint in box. They're cool ass toys. Only have one of the Orguss II Olsons.

The tan/amber visor and cockpit bubble are the earlier issues. They switched to green later when the Olson Orguss II version came into the line. It doesn't appear to affect the value of the toy either way and they appear to be identical otherwise. But I'd say the later issues had a different catalog included as well.

That could be it. So far we've seen models of Number Six, Aaron Doral, Leoben Conroy and Sharon Valerii and that makes only 4 confirmed models.
As for the council of 12, didn't they already have the Quorum of 12?
I am still waiting for someone like Cassiopeia to show up fr Apollo.

This guy's work really astounds me. A year after his Racaseal figure, now is another character from phantasy star online. But i can't remember what's this guy's name. I read it before. F-head or something like that. DAMN i want one.
What Microman is that black one? I'd like to get one.

Terminator's continuity isn't that solid to begin with.
John Conner is born because of a predestination paradox.
Kyle Reese goes back in time to stop the terminator from killing Sarah Conner, mother of John Conner. In the process, they have sex and he winds up being John conner's father. Meaning that the rebel leader Skynet attempted to prevent was only created BECAUSE the terminator was running around in the past.
A predestination paradox requires a rigid and unchangable timeline, at least with regards to the events responsible for the paradox.
They stop Judgement Day in T2. Which means the future is changable, John Conner's dad was never sent back, the predestination paradox doesn't work, and he doesn't exist. Which means there was never a Kyle Reese chasing a terminator back in time, Sarah Conner never found out about Skynet, John Conner was never born, and Judgement Day wasn't stopped. And we're back at square one with a timeline that has now been bent into a mobius strip of broken causality.
Then they do Terminator 3, which says they just moved the date, and didn't cancel the show.
Which doesn't do poor John any good, since his dad STILL wasn't sent back in time due to the diffrent timelines.
There may be another Kyle Reese, and he may've been sent back in time in his version of the timeline, and may've even fathered a child, but the Kyle that we know won't exist anymore, which means it's impossible for him to go back in time and relay the orginal, now-inaccurate information about Judgement Day to Sarah.
If the elements future is changable, predestination paradoxes CANNOT function.
And if predestination paradoxes can't work, the foundation of the entire franchise is invalid.
The only way for continuity to hold is if T3 is rewritten so Judgement Day happens on the timetable originally laid out by T1.
Besides, Terminator 2 was like Aliens. They took a perfectly good sci-fi horror film and stripped out all the scary bits.
What I mean is that if this tv series is set between T2 and T3 as indicated and to have Sarah Connor as a main character and they are keeping the continuity of the 3 films then:
1) Sarah will have to have to be in a losing battle with Lukemia
2) They can't fight Terminators because they thought they had stopped judgement day until John finds out otherwise in T3. If they were engaging terminators in the interim, then obviously they wouldn't have thought that.
So what the hell will it be about?

No. The series takes place after T2, so it's about Sarah and John thinking they've averted disaster and live a normal life.
At least for the 7 years during which she fought lukemia and died just after Judgement Day (as per T3).

Another weird thing about Mercedes, to me, is that their hopped-up AMG versions are almost identical appearance-wise to the standard model. If I'm going to drop $165k to get the SL65 12 cylinder twin turbo, I want it to look a lot different than the $80k SL500. But they don't unless you're a Mercedes enthusiast who knows the small cues to look for.

Oh yeah, Josh Hartnett, he's terrible. He's supposed to be the next big star? He seems to imitate Keanu Reeves, like that's a good thing?
I do believe Hollywood Homicide is one of the very worst films I've ever seen. I think with that film, Harrison Ford's dignity officailly died. Ever since Harrison Ford started wearing an earing, he lost all sense of reason. And he acts embarressed at people identifying him with Han Solo or Indiana Jones???
Totally agree with you on Harrison Ford. He has squandered all the good will from his most loved roles in recent years. Since Callista Flockhart and the ear ring, he's a total embarrassment. So much for aging gracefully. But I think he may be coming to realize this as he's more willing to talk about his Star Wars and Indiana Jones roles now. Hopefully he will finally do IJ4 before he gets too old.

Taking into account options and dealer markups, I will be paying 60-70k for this car.
I think I would take my name off the list and wait a few months. Let some other chump buy it new and eat at least the initial depreciation, then buy it at discount after he trades it back in after 3000 miles because the tight suspension is jarring out his fillings and he can't get more than a dufflebag in it.

Then in the early 90's we had the release of the twin-turbo Supra and RX-7 and instead of the GT-R we get... the 300ZX? The 300ZX was an inferior car to the Mazda and Toyota efforts, whereas the GT-R would have actually been decent competition.
I don't know of I agree with that. I have a 300zxTT that has been basically problem free. Whereas it's tough to find a 93-95 RX7 that isn't on it's second engine or in need of one. Sure there are after market fixes to mitigate that, but from the factory, the RX7 was a timebomb.
Can't really comment on the Supra as I've never driven one, but I think they owe a lot of their market value to a certain movie. I like the looks of a kit on one but the dashboard design was terrible.

Only episode of this show I remember is the one where they found a Martian War Machine like the ones from the 50's film. Other than that it sucked.

Thigh parts
Some of them come with the little trapezoids some dont.
I believe that when Bandai started cranking out the Elintseeker and the Ostrich, they made slight detail increases to the molds. These included:
- the leg trapezoids
- panel lines on the inside of the backpack(the side that faces upward when in fighter mode and the tailfins are extended)
- the rounded squares on the back ( there are three in decreasing size on each side) have 3 lines thru the middle of them.
Jetfires will have the increased detailing if they are from the latter part of the run, earlier ones don't.

Yeah, Phatslappy is right, they would never give you that $10 price in their store because jacking you on the shipping is how they offset the loss pricing. I wish eBay would crack down on that crap.

Pretty sure. The only ones I've ever seen are the red versions from China. They pop up very rarely on ebay.
Remember VF-1X that used to post here? He had an online store for a while before he got into drifting. Anyway, he also was a 1/55 completist and did finally hunt down a Red VF-1A Joons. He had pictures of it on his site and this was years before the Chinese blister carded knock-offs started.
Also there is supposedly a Green Taiwan 1J knock-off in the Robotec box along with the grey 1J Hikaru. I had the grey one at one time. Had a nice box and the inner tray was actually styro instead of plastic.

A former high school pal of mine actually made a construction paper model of the Maddox, as there was never any model or toy built.
I think the model, which is years old now, still resides at Puzzle Zoo in Santa Monica, CA.
They made a resin kit of the MADOX-01, I've seen it in the back of old Hobby Japans.

how about non-macross type art? SPecifically something similar in design to the "big johnson" t-shirts that were popular a number of years back. I've been trying to get a t-shirt business off the ground for a number of years now but every artist I know/meet ends up being a hippie and nothing ever gets drawn.

Heck Yeah! This movie rocked. The Darkwolf character was a well done Wolverine rip before wolvie became so mainstream.
Also, the way the main telepathic bad guy used his power - with the gestures and thunderclap sound - is even copied by Lucas in Episode II when Darth Maul used his force powers in the fight with Obi Wan and Qui Gonn.
