I doubt this. The Weathering special comes with a note taped to the inside of the box. http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/7162/dsc00004ok7.jpg This note is a general thank you for buying the Weathering Special. It then explains that the paint job is all hand applied as well as the decals. So it warns the owners to be careful, lest they scratch the custom paint and decals. Given that each weathering is had applied, the cost of labor to mass produce this would be ridiculous. I heard rumors of another possible weathering special, The VF-1J

Rohby lurks a bit. I met up with him friday before MWCon. This thing was still in pieces. he had just gotten two light mists on the valk body. the armor was painted though. So no it isnt just all decals. The valk and armor were spray painted.

get one it is worth it. If you shop around you can get a good deal. my camera was on clearance for $300. And that is for Body and Lens. If you are seriously interested go get the Nikon D40X kit from Costco. Last week I saw it for only $600. it is like my camera but instead of 6mp it is 10mp plus it comes with two lenses which are both "vr" (vibration reducing) that kit normally goes for $800+

Well everyone is posting their custom entries. My girlfriend made this with a combination of knitting and crochet. It is Sailor Minmei from the Paris Act Minmei Guard.

I dont know if that is a good idea. granted you will share the gas price. but when I drove from LA to Pittsburgh, it took about 350 dollars of gas. this was in Aug 06. I was using an Integra that got 30 mpg if I babied it.

Yes fantastic Con. Kirith has done a great job taking on after me. I hope we can keep this momentum going. it sort of fizzled down at MWCon06 and I apologize for that but that is all in the past. I was thinkin of making a recap thread. but I will post in here. Exo we need the list of winners per contest. I dont remember who won what. Besides poker and customs contest. I did manage to win the 1/55 transformation contest. I signed up at the last minute, thinking that at least it would be fun to see who is the fastest. and that was me haha. the 1/55 transformation contest was set up with three 1/55s. one was set in battroid mode in an awkward position. the arms were rotated out to the side and then down. Any mistakes and you would be penalized with 3 secs added to your time. also when you set it down and say "STOP" you cannot touch the valk. we ran it head to head. I got a 22+ sec transformation time, but one of the arms wasnt straight so I got 25+ secs. The only person closest to me was EternalD at 29+ secs with 6 secs of penalty. Kirith and friend, Ricky, got into a little offensive transformation. Ricky tried to push and harass kirith while they were both transforming. At the end Eternal D an I went head to head and I got 25+ secs with no mistakes. I won a $50 gift certificate from BBTS!!!! Thanks BBTS.

ah yes thank you I forgot about the Chara-works. There you go another example of someone outside of Model Graphix, who used the design. I would really like to see the 148 stealth w/ fastpacks utilized to accomodate a Minmei Guard. Perhaps yamato will listen and set one for the 1/60 line as they seem to be packaged with armor, see the 1/60 VF-1S review by graham.
