Thank you for the excellent review. Sounds just like my kind of anime! Off to Best Buy I go . . . How long is this series?
-
If you check his profile out and do a quick SEARCH of his posts in all the forums, you will notice that he is quick in his opinions/decisions. I am sure you should be able to resolve your issues with him. It may be very prudent to do it by email. I'd advise against this line of discussion here since no one will really notice it here. If no money has been lost, no harm, no foul. Just remember to put him on the blacklist in the sale section if you do come out of this transaction with a bad taste. He is in the blacklist thread, although as a nominator to put haterist on it due to lack of communication. <SEE POST> Seems to fly off the handle a bit often, but you might be able to still resolve this, or I hope you can. Good Luck!

Shin Seiki Gokin: 1/48 Airwolf by Aoshima
Kamineko replied to Valkyrie Hunter D's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Anybody here remember the series BJ and the Bear? Loved that red and white truck as a kid. Hell yeah, with Sherrif Lobo and his fat retarded deputy. I liked that show when I was a kid. I dunno who Automan is though. Cursor? -

27"? Geez thats twice as long as a 1/48 Valk in fighter mode. Oh well, got 3 months to figure out where it would fit for display . . . I think you are getting your metric and imperial measuring systems confused. In fact I did a bit of computing, and am now sure of it. Heh oops ok 27cm. Call it a mis-read. -

"Star Trek Movie Syndrome" befalls Macross?
Kamineko replied to Winter's topic in Movies and TV Series
I'm trying to figure out the connection of all this boob discussion with the comparison of Macross befalling the "Star Trek Movie Syndrome". I'm all for boobs, err, the talk of . . . lets get back on topic! -
Yeah those are tee's next to Basara. Haven't touched my clubs in so long my clubfaces are growing its own grass on em (should clean em)!

TAP Plastics is my friend. I've had them fab several case for figures. They average between $15 - $70 depending on the type of plastic you have them use. I like to use their green edge acrylic or their OP3 (~95% UV protection). Green edge has the benefit of looking like its made from glass. The following is OP-3. If you look close, the edges are slightly brownish in color.

Anyone know what groups did 16 and 17?

The joints of the stand are too weak to support the weight of the 1/48 at any extreme angle. I am tempted to glue the stand in a fixed position. You can get it upside down if you just leave it on your desktop . . .
-
I took apart the base and drilled a hole in it. I stuck a screw into it thats long enough to go through the shelf which has a bolt on the other end.
-
Hah! Thats my main inspiration. I needed to get it off my desktop.
-
It should be, the surface area is essentially the entire back of the Yammie. My goal with this is to be able to get some measurements off this and eventually make the mount actually clamp onto the diecast portion of the 1/48. The one drawback to this setup is that the legs are extremely floppy.
-
Its not attached to the backpack . . . The actual mounting interface is inserted under the backpack.
-
Has anyone successfully mounted a Q-Rau to the Yammie stand? Any advice appreciated!

Macross universe UN military divisions
Kamineko replied to platypiman247's topic in Movies and TV Series
Try this site for definitions. Since Macross (and any other spinoff) focuses on UNS, there is only solid info on ranks HERE. I'm pretty sure any more detail would be speculation, unless someone has some Mac Zero articles that have been translated. ANYONE? -
I couldn't tell from the one at Anime Expo; it was falling apart! Ok, wish me luck tracking down one of these without having to buy a whole set . . .
-
Heh oops! Should have been a bit clearer on the series in question. Yes, the body just plugs into the head. I was lucky enough to get one! Thanks for the clarification! This will help me find a pristine chase figure. I really doubted that CM's would really go the extra step to glue stuff together for their figures. They already have enough problems just getting the paint correct!
-
Just as the topic reads. I am interested in getting one and I would like to know what condition I should expect it in. If I purchase one, will it come all assembled and glued together or loose and requre assembly?

Really though, is it necessary to be "calling out" people for banning? I feel that many of the controversial posters do have something positive to contribute. Although many times I do find myself just skipping over the ramblings of certain members, the occasional "gem" of their honest opinions do add value to this board. Personally, this whole thread is a waste of space. Grow a thicker skin and move on . . . they ain't worth the time . . .

I just ignore anything thats posted by anyone who's login starts with an "H" . . .

Can someone who has a stand and Q-Rau post how it looks all mounted together?
