  1. i just got mine from a guy at the con tho' the MPC was sold out. I can't remember the price, I was too excited (I hope I didn't paid it with my soul). Mine is the special edition. I like it better since it has the 02 on the side and the weathering doesn't look that cool anyway.

I have a question tho': does the cockpit opens? From Montarvillois pictures looks like it does. Please let me know how.

Also be extremely careful with the sensor antenna, it's too long and plastic, I broke it by accident too and fixed it with super glue and now it's good as new.

I happen to own the Galoobs too and seems like those figures fit in the cockpit (woot) ! Pictures coming soon.

  2. I'm a big Monster and Koenig Monster fan, so I too hope it did well on sales. I just got mine from a guy at the SDCC who had a lot of Yamato stuff (even a boxed Low Vis for 400 smackers WTF?!) so I guess I got the second edition which supposedly has the improved elbow missile launchers. Mine can open both missile bays, but they won't stay in position and the manual says nothing about it.

Anyway, I think that the release of the KM was a bold decision from the people of Yamato so I just had to support them on this one, not to mention that this is probably the only perfect transformation KM toy we'll ever see.

  3. My oh my! Look all those changes on the boards and the news and all. A 1/60 VF-0? Life is good ladies and gentlemen! I just bought the Köenig Monster and the Scope Dog w/ Chirico Cuvie figure from Yamato, so for me this is just good karma :p So is the Beta-Thread but that belongs to another section.

    It's good to be back.

  4. Wow! Thanks for the news. Can anyone tell me exactly which booth is Seichi's so I can run straight to it the first day?

Edit: Is there a way to get in touch with him and ask him for some particular items? (tho' I'll probably end up buying everything  )

  5. Hi everybody!

There are practically zero Macross toy dealers where I live, and I should go to the San Diego Comic Con on July for work, so I'd rather buy them there instead of buying them online and save the shipping. Thing is, despite how big it is and the fact that Yamato America will have a stand, I'm not sure if I'm going to find any 1/48's, Q-Raus or K. Monsters at the show. Does anyone knows of a Yammie retailers Attending, or some retailer on the area?

    Thanks again, guys.

  6. Hey, guys!

Since I'm a Macross hardcore fan and I've heard so much good stuff of that game, I decided on buying the PS2 console only for the Macross game, but first I need to know if the game is compatible with consoles bought this side of the Pacific, since the game is japanese and (if memory serves me) the VFX game couldn't be played with standard westen Play Station consoles.

    Thanks in advance ppl!

  7. I'm thinking on gettin' one, but I don't want to place an order just yet. In case I do (who am I tryng to fool, I KNOW I'll end up getting it), can someone please tell me where did the Virgin Road appeared and what are the differences between the Virgin Road and the TV 1D?

    Thanks.

  8. I'm willing to get rid of a green 1j Joons, but I have no clue of what to ask for it. I think it cost me 'bout $ 30 a few years back. Any ideas?

damn, that valk looked like it just came out of the "fast and furious" tuning garage. blet.

That was a good one :D

  9. I'm not an über Votoms fan, but I've always liked the Scopedod, so I'm gonna get one. But for the pictures it looks like Yamato is releasing various versions, my question to those who know Votoms better is: which one should I get? Chirico's is the all green one, or is it the Red Shoulder the most characteristic of the series? Maybe I can just buy the "red shoulder" and put it to the green Scope Dog :p Any suggestions?

Okay, nevermind: I just read that the Red Shoulder is a special bundle edition for TRU Japan and the purple looks cheesy, so I'll end up getting the green.

  10. Recently I found myself hiding new toys from her. Not that she hates my geekdom, it's just that she moved to my apartment recently and we have so little space. I have my Millenium Falcon and my AT-AT sitting on the living room and she want's sort of a "lounge" style decoration were the Star Wars elements don't fit. Poor thing, I'm beginning to understand her now.

Anyway. What she DOES hate are my gashapons. For her it's just cheap trash collecting dust.

  11. My wife has never really been that supportive of my toy collecting, but neither has she been against it either.

If there is a toy that I really like, my wife has always said "if it's something you really want, then I don't mind you buying it".

However, in the past 5 years, my collection has grown and grown (mainly due to Yamato), to the point where I don't have enough space in my small house for all my toys, and I've had to start storing the overflow of toys (6 cartons worth) at the office  .

However, we're at the stage where my wife is starting to bitch and moan (bitch being the opperative word...yes we had an argument this morning  ) about downsizing my collection, especially as our 10 month old baby is very mobile and needs more space.

    Graham

Yeah. Same case here, bro. Kudos for Eriku and Sebastian.
