Well, I just got an e-mail reply from HLJ. Basically the rep said they don't have any info on the renewal pre-order and when it'll be up. It'll be up when they receive the order info from the supplier/manufacturer. They couldn't give a heads up when that'll be - so yeah, F5 the site until it pops up. LOL

did any body use den den hobby or dendenwok on ebay for the 29?
Nope, not this round. But I've used Dennis' store before and eBay, he's been pretty reliable thus far with getting the stuff.

I found a 1/48 Max and Mira for 8400 Yen each new and also a 1/60 Max for 90,000 yen and 1/60 Mira for 40000 Yen new ( I think they are version 1 because the box has the clear plastic top and not the flip up lid for the 1/60 models). I do not know if these are good prices but I live near Tokyo and have been finding some good Yamato models around here.
90,000 JPY and 40,000 JPY for version 1's? That doesn't sound right (or moral at all) if it's not a typo.

Such a pretty bird - got shipping notification of my 25F super parts too, too bad Japan is on holidays and shipping will be delayed. =P

Yup, I was just referring to the fact the shoulder wasn't locked in to the front part of the chest like in the v1 1/60 Valks.
But there's also: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36316 if anyone's feeling weary about the shoulders.
-
If anyone's interested, I just saw a seller on eBay selling Super Parts for Ozma and Alto renewal for $100. I picked up a set for Alto.

The forums sometimes remind me of Thanksgiving with the in-laws...everyone brings baggage! You can't say one thing without the table exploding !
It's all about the e-Peen!

somebody should give Phalanix that red panic button...
Why? I was just wondering if that's how the shoulder supposed to look like. Don't see how anything I said equated to panic mode.
But, if it makes you feel any better...
-
My point was just that the front of the shoulder didn't seem to lock in to the chest in that photo - because I have the v1 in front of me (at work) and was comparing the design - and I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be like that.
I found a pic of a v2 1/60 (I think from one of MW members) VF-1S, and the front of the shoulder doesn't lock in either. So yeah, there's the answer. All these years, I never noticed this about the shoulders in Battroid mode... lol
-
I don't understand why that's a problem? Locking the shoulder in limits movement and pose-ability.
Cuz that looks like all the pressure will be placed on those shoulder hinges, since the front part of it isn't locked in to the chest?
-
hmmm, does that shoulder look right? Never paid much attention (didn't notice this in the VF-1D pictures) - doesn't look very stable/sturdy not "locked in" with that side cover mounted in battroid mode.
-
So any recommendations on the 4mm vs 5mm?
-
Forget proxy. HLJ had been selling most Yamato web limited items from Fan Racer to 1:2000 SDF-1 to us for no additional cost for a few years already. I don't expect the VF-4 will be any different.
Yeah, that's true. Just hope we don't run into a really limited order quantity like the Bandai Valks.
-
The armored Alto doesn't seem to be as popular as Ozma's? I still see that available for order at some places. All ozma versions are sold out. LOL
-
Hope it won't be limited like Bandai valks... lol gotta start stalking the usual proxy services, though pre-orders probably won't be this soon?
-
I almost thought I was seeing things when I got up this morning and checked HLJ. It was 4:15 PST and I was eating breakfast and thought, "what the heck, let's check HLJ to see if the pre-order is open again". Low and behold it was . Preordered one and then ordered another. Hopefully they will be able to fulfill the orders I placed. I recently pre-ordered the Sound Blaster reissue a full four months in advance and still didn't get it. Takara didn't ship enough to them.
So... I will only believe it when I see them in my hands in June. Until then, anything can happen. At least I don't have to stalk HLJ anymore
Same here, I periodically check HLJ to see if I get lucky... guess I did this time! No more sleepless nights thinking about this pre-order until release date. Good luck to the rest that are stil looking...
-
Funny thing is, that was I think the longest preorder so far. Amiami closed down in 4 minutes.
Edit: Did HLJ have an order limit like everyone else per household?
Yup, HLJ had a limit of 3 per household.
-
Glad the baby kept me up all night, pre-ordered from HLJ! Was gonna come here to post that pre-orders re-opened but that's been done. '
-
Over 100 dollars more? I wish there was a happy middle ground.
I said a "bit" more.. haha But given all the crap I've collected over the years, I'm somewhat desensitized to the prices already. I'd probably shell out that $100 than not being able to pre-order and having to resort to the inflated secondary market, which often ends up being more than that $100 anyway.
-
Gonna pick up a few sets - can anyone confirm whether the 4mm or the 5mm is preferred? Anyone have experience with the durability of the polished version?
-
I rather pay a bit more for the ease of ordering than spend sleepless nights trying to find a retailer that still has pre-orders available like the Bandai releases.
-
They expect to release it in 2012 December, no price yet.
They better release it before the world ends on Dec. 21. LOL

Yay, got my Sheryl and Ranka today.

Yeah, I checked around 4:30AM and it wasn't up yet. Most likely it's not gone yet, they just put it up as a place holder and will open up the pre-order later.
