  1. Where was it written or confirmed that that Arcadia had kept all former Yamato employees? I don't recall seeing or hearing this peice of information before! Unless this information was clearly stated in an official posting from Yamato or Arcadia, i.e. on their blog, website etc, it's just heresay.

Now I have no idea about Japanese bankruptcy law. But here in HK if a company is bankrupt and is forceably wound up to pay off debts, all assests of the company would be seized by baliffs and auctioned off in public auction. If the same applies to Japan, then all the 1/60 toy molds may not be in Arcadia's possession.

Now I don't mean to sound all negative, and I'm hoping there is a light at the end of the tunnel, but there may well not be.

The only vague reference I could find was in the locked thread where user Save wrote:

    Interesting

indeed, I wonder if it's a "we are losing money so re-brand to save

jobs" or "hey the last year was pretty good so lets move and re-brand to

    keep things fresh".

"Maybe, the booth was maned by there usual employees. Recently the

company had brought on a hand full of young employees and they were

    there working."

And also what you wrote later on:

    "Posted 13 February 2013 - 01:28 AM

Well, one of my lower level contacts got back to me, he confirmed

it is still the same CEO, the company hasn't been sold, they want to

diversify apparently. But my contact didn't know whether they will carry

on with 1/60 PV Macross toys.

Waiting for someone higher up the food chain to get back to me.

    Grahm"

So, you're right, there's no indication they're keeping everyone. But I can see where people might remember that stuff wrong after that thread started to go off the rails (I'm guilty as thinking that the employees stayed as well).

  2. This is a day late, but I want to point out that Cybergundam was already called out for just posting rumors and has no more information than anybody else. Don't take his post as anything other than idle speculation.

I know that all this idle speculation is natural given how little we've heard, but it's also dangerous. Repeat something enough and it eventually gets accepted as fact.

  3. Hey Wasabi, the 321 Valk was a mix of my love for 1/48 Low Vis VF-1A & the Cavaliers paint job, so I tried a blending of the two, I was impressed how well the light blue worked out. The 1A Black & Tan was another idea for how to make a Cannon Fodder scheme more interesting, also an excuse to try out the tan paint EXO recommended to me, its worth the hefty price tag. The stickers all came from spare VF-0 & VF-1 sheets.

The Tomahawk is a definite custom paint job, it was always my favorite Destroid color scheme. Not sure if its officially Macross or a RT thing, but I like it and looks awesome in my collection. One of these days I'll get the Yamato version of Destroids, keep one as a tan/brown and the other white/orange. B))

Awesome. I really like variations on the cannon fodder schemes. There are a few in the back of the Master File books that I've wanted to paint up as customs, but I'm slightly lacking in skill!

  4. here she is. Havent touched her in a year. As soon as I looked at her she didnt want to stand up anymore.

You know, one of the few uses of the Gundam Action Base 2 stand is that it works pretty well to hold up a YF21 and VF22 in battroid mode.
