Would the VF-19 actually be much of a downgrade from the VF-25? Looking at the technical specifications of the base fighters (without armor or super parts), they seem pretty evenly matched.

This really is my holy grail, as its the valk that made me fall in love with Macross. I want the folding wings. It's the little details that make all the difference.

I am so glad I didn't pass on this! Gerwalk mode is alright, but fighter and battroid are probably the best from Frontier, as far as I'm concerned. I love the VF-25 and its variants, but something about this...

I primarily look for quality of engineering, design, and manufacturing. Plus, the subject has to be something I'm interested in, ie Transformers and Macross.

It's battle damage. A war has been going on--you can't expect them to be flawless!

Uhg, screw it. I just sent payment. I have no self control. It's too beautiful a design to pass up! Plus it will probably be the last new Macross mold made for a long time...until the next inevitable series, anyway. Oh, and the YF-30. Forgot about that...

I'm not sure if I should cancel my preorder. It's either the VF-171 or the Hot Toys Mark VII Iron Man, and I figure Bandai is more likely to reissue the VF-171.

I wonder, is there any reason for a 1/60 VF-1 version 3 to exist? What could or should be improved from the Yamato v2?

Aside from the VF-1S that it looks like I'll never get, there aren't any must-have valks that I don't already own.

Well, I got screwed by Angolz. Kind of screwed. I was feeling pretty good about landing a last minute VF-1S only to have them e-mail me last night to say they had to cancel my order because they didn't have enough stock. Uhg. Any suggestions for where I can get one at a reasonable price?

Damn, I only had one must-have valk left to add to my collection (VF-1S DYRL) but I waited too long and I can't find any stock available. Suggestions? Or am I out of luck? I guess it's not the end of the world, since I have a VF-1A and a VF-1J...I mean, how many of these fighters do I need? -edit- Nevermind! I found one! Angolz has quite a few different valks in stock--some actually on sale! Anyone want a VF-1A for ~$60? Their shipping is pretty expensive, though. Anyway, I've had good luck with them before, so check it out.

My only complaint with Bandai is that their valks aren't in scale with the Yamato valkyries.

I was just playing with my 19 last night and I'm still shocked at how big it is. It's huge next to the VF-1 and even the VF-25 toy.

You KNOW if Bandai made one it would sell out immediately. They're still in the business of making money, right?
