    custom 1/48 CF + FP

I think it would look stupid to have a kick butt detailed valkyrie and plain, plastic looking missiles IMHO.

    custom 1/48 CF + FP

Wow.... Truly amazing! I'm so glad you chose the CF VF-1A for that custom because it looks awesome.

    Yamato 1/60 Range

If you are referring to Graham, he is not a Yamato representative. He is just a fan like us but is sometimes able to get info from Yamato. However, it's not like the old days where Yamato was pretty open about what they were doing. Because of a few incidences and all the complaining, Yamato is pretty tight lipped these days. Even if Graham is told something, he can rarely tell us. Just FYI.
  4. That would be pretty cool. I would like one of Roy passed out over the ontrols.
  5. I don't know about the others, but it sounds to me like you are making a lot of demands. We all want the perfect toys but it's easier said than done. I'm sure Yamato is doing their best but sometimes compromises have to be made for cost, time, etc.
  6. Would love to buy at least one, but can't. I don't have much shelve space but I would make room for those bad boys. The price is the problem. I'm hoping in a year or so I can find them on ebay for a more reasonable price.

    VF11B

Cool ideas. Are you going to give it a custom paint job, too?
  8. I think they should spend more time making better Alien movies than fancy DVD cases.
  9. LOL Mine is gay - Logical Cricket.
  10. Yamato is making two seater 1/48 Mac+ valkryies!!!!!????? SWEET! J/K
  11. Doesn't the 1/60 CF count? Or were you speaking in reference to 1/48s exclusively (no pun intended). No, the Toys R Us (TRU) VF-1A was an exclusive and a different color than the stardard issue VF-1A CF. It was only sold in TRU Japan stores so it was not a true release. My point was that Yamato has never done the same exact thing twice.
  12. I doubt Yamato will reissue the low-viz for several reasons. I believe one of the main reasons they reissued the 1st two 1/48's was to fix some of the problems that were done on later 1/48's. Thus, the reissues are not exactly the same. The Mac+ valks are being redone - not reissued - so Yamato has never really reissued anything. That said, I think it would be cool if Yamato did a different 1/48, similar to the low-viz. I think a VF-1J in desert camo would be pretty cool.
  13. I look forward to when all episodes are done so I can watch the whole thing at once..
  14. What about prices? What are you guys paying for the Hasbro versions?

  16. The VF-1S Hikaru, as well as all 1/48's, have a big flaw in that the break your wallet very easily. After buying a few 1/48's and armor packs, I noticed that my wallet stopped functioning. Money that used to come out of it no longer did.
  17. LOL - Old school animation rocks. You know times have changed when you have to edit children's cartoons to play them on tv.
  18. I never did understand how an imcomplete code theft set developers back so much. As far as I know, no work was lost and it's not like they are going to redo the whole game.
  19. I don't know about a recast. If it was resin, it would be very fragile. I like the idea of slipping over some chrome tubing. I know you can at least buy brass tubing in many small sizes at most hobby stores.
  20. Like the others said, don't hold your breath. Yamato cannot release any color schemes and such without the approval of Big West - as I understand. If you have money to burn, just buy a regular set of armor packs and paint them.
  21. No suprise. I don't pay attention to release dates very much. I cannot recall one high profile game that came out on the first announced release date. These days, the high profile games tend to disappoint in one way or another. They are either too short, don't run well on anything but the latest hardware, or over hyped. HL2 looks to be a sure thing but I can wait. There are plenty of good games out now and to come. Far Cry looks pretty good. I saw some screen shots and was amazed at the level of detail with all the plants and trees. I just hope it will run well on my machine. Right now, it is choking on Deus Ex 2.
  22. I must say, if you can scrape up $600 for the estimated cost of two Monsters - I would like to hear how you can do it. When your bills outweight your income, there is not a lot you can do. But that pmpin sounds interesting. I'll have to watch "American Pimpin" a few more times to learn the trade. For those trying to compare the cost of a local non-transforming toy to an imported transforming toy, it makes no sense. The transforming toy has much more R&D in it, more parts, and a much more technical assembly process. How do you think all those screws got put in place on your 1/48? Then you have to MSRP along with high shipping fees. I'll agree that Yamato's are expensive in general, but so are a lot of other different high detailed toys. You have to remember that Yamato's market (Japan) is pretty small and Macross is not the most popular show. If Yamato could export and get big chains like Walmart, Target, and TRU to buy then everything would be different.
  23. Level up! Unbelievable work, Jung. Mospeada rules.
  24. Truly awesome. That's better than lawn darts.
  25. Kanata67 - Is that all fur or is your cat that freakin huge? It looks like the cat fell and can't get up!
