Getting worse? Not really sure about that, but of course, all I have in terms of comparison would be my 1/60's 'n 1/48's, so you guys probably get the idea. Now if YAMATO releases the VF-0 in the same aesthetic quality as in the pictures we are seeing right now, then that would be a first in terms of letdowns for me.

Gotta buy my own house first, THEN I can think about having to get the windows tinted!!

Just a little update on list above:

1/60 GBP and 1/60 GBP w/ HIKARU VF-1J are already out!!

REDEMPTION, man, those look absolutely beautiful!! But I believe most folks here are still longing for that 1A CF, and to tell ya the truth, I'm one of 'em now!!

I just saw DYRL? again tonight, and I was wondering--what was the name of that 3rd Zentraedi officer that was with Britai and Exedol when they met up with Bodolza to turn in Minmay 'n L.K. after their capture?

YESSSSSSSSSS!!!! Now this one, I'm definitely not gonna miss out on!! Bring on the DINOBOTS next!

Yeah no kidding!!! I just ordered a set from valktronics. I cant wait to get em and add em to my VF-1s Hikaru. Now just need a 1j and fast packs. It never ends

1/48 HIKARU 1S, huh?! Very NIIICCCEEEE!! Just picked up another one of those for myself, too! And this will be my display/play piece! Hey, DescipleMKII, don't forget to pick up some after-market decals, too, 'coz those YAMATO issued ones just won't do! They're too damned thick!! Might wanna get yer hands on some Takatoys stickers or a(n) ANAZASI37 water-slide decal. Believe me, they're worth it!

Twin Moons and Valkyrie-Exchange are a couple of good places to buy these from--on-line, that is! But I think Twin Moons are all out of the DYRL? FPs. Get them fast, dude, coz they're selling like hot pancakes!!

Man, you guys are right--that thing is one ugly mother!! I hope this is not going to be the start of a trend for YAMATO! What a disappointment!

Man, I keep forgetting the name of that place in the Megamall basement, but I know which one yer talking about. That place is kinda pricey though. I've checked out a couple of places in Greenhills back in feb. of this year, but wasn't lucky enough to find some 1/48's (or maybe I just didn't look hard enough! ). Anyways, I collect YAMATO's--mostly 1/60's, but a couple of 1/48's as well. Man, I just love 'em, more so than I ever did the chunky-monkeys!

BTW, the weather in Manila is much better during the last month and the 1st two months of the year. It's not so hot and humid, which makes travelling a lot more fun!

It's gotta be the DYRL? KAKIZAKI for me!! Man, This would have to be my holy grail! And it's really not that hard to make, all that it would entail from YAMATO's part is to do a repaint of a 1A---how hard can that be?! Still keeping my finger crossed, though.

$40 a pop and ya can't even fit the gunpod to a 1/48 in its fighter mode when it's on the stand! What's up with that?! It's like having a bottle of Corona w/out da lime!! It's just not right!

Oooppss, sorry folks, my bad!! Was under the same impression that YAMATO had re-issued the 1/48 HIKARU 1S and that they had done the same thing with the head rest for the FOCKER type--straight for the original 'n curved for the 2nd issue.

easiest way is to check the headrest on the pilot's seat... if it's curved it's the reissue with fixes, if it has no cruve, it's the original.

Like most everyone, I usually buy one of anything I like. The only exceptions are my faves: like for example the 1/48 HIKARU 1S. I already have a(n) MISB in my display case, but I decided to pick one up yesterday to use as both a display and play piece. I guess I'll be using this one to pacify my desire in opening the 1st one that I got! Go figure!

Hey, HATERIST, great review on the Flexidisplay stands! Really helps out a lot, specially for a new and up n' coming buyer like myself! I've got one question, though--I haven't actually seen photo(s) of an FP armored 1/48 on one of these stands. Will the stands be able to accomodate this as well? Thanks for the help!

Heck, yeah!! You definitely wanna get some after-market stickers (see HURIN's Takatoys 1/48 stickers review!). Don't even think of defacing that MACROSS holy grail of yours! I just bought a 1/48 HIKARU 1S a few hours ago and I'm not taking it out of the box until I get my Takatoys stickers, which reminds me--I gotta order a new set from TMP ANIME right now!! Invest a little on these after-market stickers, and I promise ya won't be sorry!

Hey, VALK-1S, I believe Obi-Wan said that he doesn't remember ever owning a droid which is totally different. He could have been lying thru his teeth about R2, for what reason we don't know! And about the VF-1 appearance in MAC0, it's a possibility 'coz, as mentioned before in this forum, the VF-1 'n da VF-0 were developed concurrently. So, who's to say that we're never gonna see the VF-1 in action in the last installment of the first MAC series.

Very nice, ANUBIS, both the collection 'n da display cases! Got one question, though: did ya, by any chance, pick up the display cases from IKEA? Coz I think I might have seen that kind when I picked up mine.

I sure hope the MAC 0's ending isn't gonna be a letdown. Just like most folks here, I too have enjoyed the series and would like to see the series have an ending that is both memorable and classic!
