    heres another picture.

who makes that valk? i assume its a model? who makes that GBP armor? that sh!t looks awesome!

Hey, H, the first time I saw that pic was in a post by BLACKACES in the model kits forum for another GBP Armor thread. I don't believe he mentioned the name of the modeler, but you can check here: 1/72 GBP

  2. I can't believe I've missed this thread before :( , oh well, better late than never! Here's my oh so humble collection:

    1/72 = 0

    1/60 = 6

    1/48 = 3 (including the 3rd production run VF-1S ROY, I hope :D !)

    :)

I think the one on the site is not the TRU exclusive one

    J.K.,

Oh, man, you're right! I can't believe I missed the TRU part, serves me right for posting at 3 in the morning when I'm half awake :D ! Good looking out, man! :)

    ETERNAL D,

Sorry, dude, but in that case ya might wanna shoot PAT S a PM. He had 2 of those for sale, but keep in mind that that was about a few weeks ago. Hey, it wouldn't hurt to ask, right? He's in the straight-shooter's list so it'd be worth it. I picked up a 1/60 HIKARU 1A from him and I'm happy w/ it. :)

  4. Hey, ETERNAL D, tell ya friend that BLUE FORGE GAMES.com has 'em on sale for 45 bucks. I bought one two months ago and the thing came in the mail well-packaged. My total came to about $54, so if yer friend's looking for a new one, I think this online store is one of his/her best bets. :)

  5. Hey, JOEL, the only kits I have from the Gundam Seed series are the 1/100 and 1/144 Red Frames, so I can't make any comparisons between these and the most recent releases. Anyway, the kits in both scales look great (suprisingly enough for the 1/144!). The 1/100 version is obviously a lot more articulated. The 1/144 version, just like ZEO-MARE said, might take a little more finesse in having to paint and detail (darn thing's just too small!). But after having to detail it, I think it's good enough to give the 1/100 version a run for it's money.

ground-combat protector weapon system? too bulky for space, but rick hunter did fly it when he encountered the

Huh?! HIKARU ICHIJO was out in space when he used it, where it would only take a minimal amount of force to get something moving. I don't think the bulkiness was a problem for the U.N. SPACY pilots that it prevented them to use the battroid modes w/ the GBP Armor on.

yeah, I talked to Alex and he said he wasn't making enough money there so he's just selling online now. So check him out at www.littleanimeshop.com

Oh, man! Alex and his little anime shop have been there for ages. It's actually one of the few places I often buy from whenever I'm at F&S :( . Oh well, at least he's still selling on-line. Thanks for the heads up, BOBE-PATT :) !

So if it is the TV version could that mean seperate TV fastpacks are in the works?

I hope YAMATO would offer it in a combo, just like what they did w/ da 1/48 HIKARU 1J *keeps fingers crossed!* :D !

Just from looking at the picture in the lower left hand corner...it appears to be,

    Gay 'Bot Porn

    GBP?

He-he, it does look gay!:D

I believe this trend is quickly killing the macross collectors. Many people whom I talk to stop collecting because the toys don't hold value anymore and not sought after when Yamato over-releases different color scheme versions and gets huge price cuts on ebay..

I agree with KENSEI on this one. This kind of trend is definitely good for true MAC fans and collectors 'coz it gives 'em a chance to pick up on something they might have missed out on earlier, which is the case with me. And let's not forget about those folks who are just starting to get into the MACROSS phenomenon. This is a wonderful opportunity for them also.

  11. Don't you guys find it weird that Macross Compendium did not even list the exact words to the GBP acronym. The closest thing they have is "Ground-Combat Protector Weapon System". Of course, this description is accurate enough for me, but NOT for the particular acronym it's trying to describe.
