    QUOTE (VF-19 pilot!!! @ Oct 8 2004, 10:50 PM)

I own about 12 1/48's and some times they are a bit to big looking, when comapred to the rest of my pieces.

dear God man... thats almost $2,000.00 in toys if you consider shipping and tax.. either your real rich or real.. nevermind.

Well, you obviously have not heard of GODZILLA, KENSEI and/or HATERIST's collections!:D:) Yeah, like most of you guys, that's pretty much how I look at my YAMATO collection: 1/48's for display and 1/60's for everything else (although, ya can play w/ a 1/48, too, as most folks would know :D !).

  2. Hey, I too have love for the 1/60's. Ok, I'm not too crazy about the detachable legs either, but we have to admit that they look quite nice for something that you can get for a fraction of the price of a 1/48 :D !

  3. Hey, SLEDDOGG83, I think quite a few folks here are having the same problems. Check out the old 1/60 GBP Armor threads on this same forum 'coz I think some of the guys have found ways to get around these same issues. About the boosters, just make sure they're pegged on the backpack like tight. For some reason, when I first got the armor, I was thinking that there were slots on the backpack for me to put the boosters on. I eventually found out that that wasn't the case. So, start searching and I hope ya find some solutions. :)

    What's a cannon fooder?

    Brown valk....

Cannon fodder as in, first one in, first one dead.

:lol::D:rolleyes: Hey, GREENGUY42 mind if I use this line for my sig? And yeah, I'm gonna buy,buy,buy--if YAMATO ever releases it! :)

  5. This is another 1/60 pilot related question. Has anyone noticed the figure on the SUPER HIKARU box? It's the TV version. But for some reason, the variant came w/ the DYRL? version. I'm not sure if this has been asked before, and I really never noticed until I got one from EVILPORKCHOP, but can anyone shed some light into this matter?

  6. Yeah, the Yamato stand looks really good, but I guess for me, it's the price that kinda turned me off. If it happens to have the same price tag as that of a FLEXI-DISPLAY Stand, then I'll definitely buy one! :D

  7. Hey, eNeS. welcome to THE forums. Hope ya like it here so far. I guess you know by now that the best made MAC toys out there are made by YAMATO, TAKATOKU and BANDAI. Now, if you still have your heart set on acquiring an Toynami MPC, I would suggest that you just wait for someone to put one up for sale here at these very same boards. Every now and then one will pop up for cheap. These things are not really worth spending yer hard-earned cash for, and as you can tell, a lot of our fellow members can attest to that. Take the advice of yer fellow MAC fans and collecttors, and check out the 1/48's by YAMATO. I promise, they WON'T disappoint. So, goodluck on yer Valk hunt and I hope you find the one yer looking for. See ya around.

A couple of bucks, sure. Though they are not that great of a toy. They are rather cheaply constructed and the joints are not very good. But for a few bucks they are worth having to just to open and transform them. And, you don't have to worry if they break or get damaged

Which is exactly why I bought a few for my little boy :D !

  9. JoLe727,

You got it, brother! I've been aching to do this project for a while now, and like you I'm a total noob when it come to customizing. But I guess now's a good a time as any to get started. BTW, when you start working on that 1/60 custom, ya might wanna shoot a PM to ANASAZI37. He makes the most excellent custom decals and/or stickers that would greatly complement yer soon-to-be customized 1/60. I'll post some pix as soon as it's ready and wish me luck :D !

  10. Hey, Jole727, what's up?! Would this custom involved the VF-1S HIKARU ya just got from me? I'm glad ya liked it, it was the only one in my collection that stayed in the original shipping box, bubble-wrapped. Anyway, if yer planning of customizing it, don't forget to post some pix! I would definitely love to see it! See ya around :D .

Thanks guys for the help and for not shooting me down for my noob questions.

Hey, every single one of us were noobs at one point in time, no problem! And don't worry, KEVIN will be getting back to you for sure. He's great with helping out MW members, and a LOT of people here can attest to that ;):) !
