Shawn was in fact in charge of the book sale. Seiichi in Japan kept coming across all these mint books. I managed to score some nice stuff.
Rdenham's avatar............um..............wow. Even if they are fake...........

Fantastic looking model! I have seen a model of the USS Forrestal that is nearly that big.
Can you imagine the Prometheus in that scale?????
W00+!!!!!
-
Didn't realize that the boards went down...........
Lessee - lot's of other places to go when MW is down.
Groundplan.com for Painkeep Arena
Granarymusic.com for Bob Mould
Anandtech, Sharkeyextreme to keep up with PC info
Bluesnews for the links of the day
But it's always nice to come back home.

Very, very nice! I hope to have my own little area at some point in the future like that. Great looking models and you have a model of the G-1 from Gatchaman! Looks like an old Entex(?) model? What is the name of the company that made that model? I know they made a Phoenix that looked really cool.
Oh.
I'm guessing that you're a Star Wars fan?

Cool.
I was giving serious consideration to purchasing the current box set.
Wait, now, I will.

Way cool!!!
BGC lives!!!

I ran across an article in Autoweek, that had some good pics of Lady Penelope's car. There is a trailer available too.
Autoweek's Road Test of Lady Penelope's car
Should be an interesting movie..........and hopefully it won't suck too much.

Sealab rocks!!!
A little parody is always a good thing.

I too, read both #10 and 11 this weekend.
I agree with the anticlimatic feel of #11.
Alas, I was hoping for more but I kind of understood what was going on.........sorta.
Still, I am going to have to re-read the whole series now that I have them all. Shirow may have gone way off on a tangent, but the artwork is still cool.

Here are mine in no particular order:
Cowboy Bebop
Gunbuster
Macross
Macross Plus
Macross Zero
Bubblegum Crisis (80's OVA)
Dominion Tank Police
GITS: SAC
Ghost in the Shell
Battle of the Planets (still have yet to see the original)
Madox 01: Metal Skin Panic (the first true Japanimation I ever saw)
There is still so much that I have not seen. Still not sure how I feel about Akira........animation was cool, but it was a little weird. But then again, so was Urotsukidoji..............
I'd have included Speed Racer but the last time I rented an episode it just wasn't the same as I remember. It was cool when I was under age 10, but now I see it for the cheese that it is.

WOW!
You guys are doing some amazing stuf here! I like to keep checking in on this thread occasionally. It seems like all of you are getting better and better at this stuff.
Please keep up the good work!

BoBe-Patt has a rather...........bouncy.........avatar.

The Final Countdown.............
The flight scenes in that movie are excellent. It will be interesting to see what if anything is included. Did anyone ever read the book? Read the book afore I saw the movie. The movie actually stayed fairly true to the book.

Motoko was transplanted into a girls body at the end of the first movie.................
Or so I remember.

I dig the fact that I can now find anime at reasonable prices. I remember paying $34.95 for a one episode VHS tape for Bubblegum Crisis.

yes, can we add our own?
and is there a source out there that tells us what happened in the years after
the novel END GAME and the beginning of the Dark Age novels?
Not yet. I am sure that there will be one eventually.
Also, who here likes Dark Ages? I'm not real sold on it yet. I was hoping for a more desolute future and had the novels slowly rebuild the Inner Sphere then the very improbable set that we got. Also as much as I like Mike Stackpole's writing, did we need to see Victor Steiner-Davion again. Stackpole has a hard-on for that character like you wouldn't beleive. That just really bugs me.
I read that book just to see what was going on and I don't like the direction that Whizkids took. I would much rather go back in Inner Sphere history and see books talking more about the early days of the Star League. Also, I've always thought that a trilogy or something about The Galtor Campaign might be fun. I know it's just one of the sourcebooks, but.................
And I absolutely couldn't answer any of those questions and I have read all the novels, save for two.

"Message From Space" and Battle Beyond the Stars".
Oh, yeah, can't forget "Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension".
"The Hidden" and "They Live!".
Rasta-aliens and John Lithgow hooking alligator clips to his tongue for a mind trip!
"THey Live!": Alien dude in bed:"Hey babe,...whats wrong?"
!
Wow, Message From Space!
I still remember the first time I ever saw that! Cheese to be sure, but good fun.

Only anime related thing that I got was the first Gundam 0083 DVD. Was pretty psyched about it though...........
-
I have not yet.......gonna wait until issue 11 is out.

When TB (on TechTV) is on the tube they keep hinting bout' a live action flick. Any info on it?
~G25
There is a mention of the movie at IMDb.com and I know that I read something somewhere. Gerry Anderson has made it clear that he wants NOTHING to do with the movie. And if those toys are any indication, it's gonna be PAINFUL watching the movie.
WTF!??!!
TB2 looks like it got stepped on............yeesh.

OOOOOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Yes please!
Aegis, where did you find that pic?
Erumm, Dave....
It says NEWTYPE in the bottom left corner
Working on converting this now fellas....
Gimme a bit.
So it does.................
DOH!
My only excuse is that the monitor I use at work is crap and I wouldn't have noticed that.
Thanks for pointing that out Andy!
