  1. I really want one of these helmets. Do you think Yamato will ever release these 1:1 scale helmets again. They seem to re-issue everything else when it comes to Macross ... why not these. I wonder how many were produced and sold the first time. I believe they went for $1,500 - $2,000 US dollors. Does anyone know where to located any? There are lots of companies producing Star War helmets and other type of helmets (Halo) at a reasonable price, so why did Yamato charge so much? Why hasn't anyone reproduced one yet ... it can't be that hard?
  2. I'll reply since I don't like seeing a thread with no response. Search "FlexiDisplay" or "Flexi Display" Cheers.
  3. Ah hells no! Wha up wit all dis exclusive stuff. Having us throw down 7 benjamins fo a hunny dollar valk. Forget all dat ... I'm done, I'm outta here, and I'm not coming back ... screw you guys, I'm going home ... . . . . . . . . . . . ... until maybe next week. (Pardon my grammer, but I get all ghetto when I'm pissed)
  4. Got it from him also ... the screw entry side was drilled, but the screw exit side wasn't.
  5. Step 1: Order recast shoulder parts. Step 2: Wait patiently for your order to arrive, cuz seller is really busy. Step 3: Once the parts arrive, perpare for surgery by removing arm from main body. Step 4: Next remove shoulder from bicep by loosening elbow screw. Found out that the bicep piece was also cracked! Since this piece is not really a load-bearing part, I'm just going to crazy glue it back together. Step 5: Perpare for recast installation. Jacked up shoulder on the left and recast on the right. Step 6: Remove rubber gasket from jacked up shoulder to place on the recast. Step 7: Drill a hole for the top shoulder screw, as recast doesn't come pre-drilled. Step 8: Screw the recast pieces together and install the rubber gasket. Step 9: Connect shoulder back to bicep and main body. Step 10: Tighten all screws and you're done. Step 11: Test out the shoulder by holding the gunpod straight out. Mission accomplished!
  6. Looks like the 1/60 fast packs missiles are not individually separated like the 1/48 ones. 1/60 (They seem conneted in pairs/threes): 1/48:
  7. Yeah, I wish I had a custom collection to post! Want to sell me some?
  8. The 1/60 looks so small compared to the 1/48! It's going to look tiny in my display case (if I get one). Wish they made all the improvements, but in 1/48 scale. Once you go big ... it's hard to go back. (insert ... "that's what she said" jokes here ... haha.) It's sad seeing the 1/48 being phased out.
  9. What, no translation yet? Nobody knows Japanese anymore?
  10. I can't really see how the 1/60 fast packs gets attached to the backplate??? From the gerwalk pictures, it does look like it sits a little higher on the back compare to the 1/48.
  11. Here's pics of gerwalk mode (with the chicken hands).
  12. If they didn't make the Macross Zero/Plus in 1/60 scale, they would have been huge ... way bigger than the 1/48 VF-1!
  13. Those hands on the 1/60 are huge! I'm still trying to learn how to use my new camera!
  14. I didn't realize the big 1/60 hands were options. OK, I switched out the 1/48 chicken hands with bigger hands and put the arm armors on correctly (with the screws hidden and the gunpod holder showing). I think on the 1/60 picture, someone put a right handed armor on the left arm by mistake.
  15. Here is the battleroid mode. This is where the 1/60 outshines the 1/48 ... better hands (even has a yellow line on them), bicep cuts, and shorther nose piece. Legs look skinnier tho.
  16. I just noticed the 1/60 clear cockpit has chips to hold it in place. The 1/60 pilot looks better for some reason?
  17. Here are some picture comparisions of the upcoming 1/60 scale VF-1 and the good old 1/48 VF-1. This is only a photo comparion based on looks alone. The real comparision will come once the new 1/60 comes out (to compare transformation, function, etc.). Based on looks, I still tend to like the 1/48 ... the larger size just allows for more detail. Sorry about the crappy pics ... when I have more time, I'll post more configs (and hopefully better pics).
  18. That's a sweet looking slip cover ... or maybe it's just more appealing because it's impossible to get ?!?! If anyone wants to ship one to me, I can reproduce it for everyone ... and I'll charge less than $500. But seriously, there's huge bootleg/knockoff potential because that slip cover can be easily reproduced. This whole limited thing is stupid.
  19. What's up with the silver philips screw on the left armor???
  20. Getting the replacement arms from HLJ will be expensive for shipping to the US. I think a better option is to buy the replacement part recast from SILVERDRAGON (1/48 and 1/60 parts depot) over in the "For sale" section (I should get a referal discount from him ... haha). Anyways, it's $10 for both L and R arms. I don't know the quality yet, as my order is pending ... but will let you guy know once I receive them.

    Thunder Hammer

First - I hate you. Second - I'll start the bidding at $800. Third - I still hate you.

    Macross Revoltech

Wow, the Revoltech line is crazy! They're pumping out all kinds of figures .. left and right. This company does things right ... large selection and no delays. Once they show a prototype ... BAM, it's out on sale in a few months. They don't get stuck in production limbo forever (re: toynami)! Bring it.
