Imagine a 1/48 VF-25?? we will just keep on dreaming
My imagination is more running (and hoping/dreaming/praying) that either Hasegawa or Wave will get the rights to produce 1/72 Messiahs, to save us from those horrible Bandai creations.

Just watched the whole thing. About what I'd expect for a Japanese produced live action adaptation. Basically, they redid the episode where there was the rumored Japanese "Spring of Drowned Boy" hidden in Furikin High School.
HOWEVER- Kasumi was way to old (I'd swear she was in her late 30's), they had Nabiki working in a Hostess Club (which does make some sense), Dr. Tofu worked for the High School, Akane had some mystical pendant for no real readily explained reason, no Ryoga or any other supporting characters, and yes, the panda suit sucked ass.
If you're a big fan of Ranma, watch it for the nostalgia, then go back and watch the anime. That's what I wanted to do.

(I miss the sub-title option. I would have called this "Give me a boost!", with the kit info in sub-title)
So, here it is. D.D. Ivanov's SV-51 gamma, with the boost engines. Built right out of the box. Got a little over-enthusiastic on the sanding, though; lost some of the nose details by mistake....

OK, so who the heck is placemark 85? Since my parents live in Cordova, Alaska, I KNOW ain't no one living in that location!

Maybe by the lack of posts with 1/48 Hasegawa completed kits here.

First time I'd ever heard of either of these bands was when I saw them live in San Antonio, Texas, back in 1992. Funnest show I've ever been to.

Airs Friday night, at 9 I believe. I'll tape, and see how it is. No idea when I'll actually get a chance to watch it, though....
Whoops, no, it's at 7. Still gonna tape it, though.

No idea how reliable they are, though.

And I thought Plus and Zero has some awesome animated dog-fighting...

Go to YouTube and watch it in full screen if you can. Very intense.

Have I brought this chicken for us to eat?

Sorry to do this...but I really have no choice. It's Black Friday, after all:
Nah, you should have posted the Black Metal Friday.

It's Thanksgiving already? I totally have no idea when the holidays are now.
I have to remind people here that Christmas is actually the 25th, NOT the evening of the 24th.

The best Devo song that was not written by Devo

Cool8or's photo's strike again! This time, as a Yahoo Japan auction.
What me to drop them a line and tell them to knock it off?

Are we looking for good quotes, or atrocious ones?

Huh??
in Model kits
So, a while back, I was searching for a little info on an old Arii kit, the System Fortress, South Ataria
Found this one guy's blog, and he did a real good job with the base.
But when it came to the Valkyries, he obviously has never seen Macroos/Roboblech, and he probably didn't look at the instructions very well.
Why, oh why are the gunpods TOTALLY backwards? Why is there an extra head in Gerwalk mode? On the VF-1A Battroids, why are the heads on backwards?

"Born to be WIld"? Besides the Slayer vid you posted, I don't think I've ever heard anyone cover that song.

Unfortunately, we're limited to only 2 vids a post, or I could really fill it up.

The most covered song in rock?

Let's post some covers to prove my point!!

Thanks, I'll try Amazon, but I'm not a fan of Ebay. What with some of the stories I've heard, it's generally easier to deal with big companies after you've bought something rather than individuals.
Any luck on using Amazon? Just test ordered with this one
and it looks like they will ship overseas. I've used a 3M for many years, and really like it.

To those who still might think all Japanese women are petite and demure:
the bass player also plays in this band, who I've seen live

Hey, Cool8or, your work really gets around.

They're not selling anything, just describing some of the optional "add-on's" for the VF-1 series.

So, if you want a gun pod instead of the camera pod, you gonna have to scratch build one?

Good place to buy resin kits in Tokyo?
in Model kits
Posted
Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask.
Heading down to Tokyo for Christmas, and I'd like to get a little shopping in. No problems in finding the current plastic kits up here, but there seems to be a drought of the older resin kits. Any good suggestions on where to search? I am going to spend some time in Akihabara, just need a definite location there. Probably also going to be in Shinjuku a while, too. Thanks!!
